    i had the tools in and was pulling and using a screw driver to pry it and nothing.

    it should come out with the normal head unit removal U shaped tool, but the damn thing doesn't budge.

    actually this is one of the easiest cars i have worked on, the head unit was easy and i found alot of room for the wires(only 4 gauge). but thank you for the responses.

    i am replacing a head unit in a '07 Eclipse(non RF model), my new harness has 1 plug but the factory radio has a big one that i will use and a small one, what is the small plug for? and where do i ground this thing? also how hard is it to run power wire in these? thanks.

    what about an older RF t2000 or t3000, those would be nice.

    explorer would be ok, the old box ones have the worst transmission ever made, and the astro would be good too. What about something off the wall like an older toyota tercel wagon?
