i have had alot of re sx's and they can easily take 1200. and so can a w7. but how can 200 rms over their rated power be underpowered?

what? 1200 per w7 is not underpowered by any means

try to get what you payed for them. and then go from there.

those schools are cool but they do limited things in limited time and cost money get a little side job at a local shop and you'll be exposed to alot more and learn alot more

i've had all of those except the lvl 3 the re se is about equal to a level 3. they are more sq oriented. the level 4 and hdc3 are about the same on 1000 watts but the hdc3 can take upwards of 2k if you add the aluminum coil and a little more than 1.5k with copper. the hdc3 will be the loudest with 2k but if you give 2 12" level 3's about 700 rms a piece they will be about the same.

my alpine 9886 has all of those features. and if you get the 9887 you get a little more than that plus 6 volt preouts.

don't think that. DC subs are great. i don't stick up for a brand unless i have personally experimented with them. I have beat the shit out of some of rusty's coils and they are still going strong. I wanted to recone my lvl 4 12 into a 15 so i tried to blow that sub with a audioque 1200d and i could not do it. I sent it a full clipped signal for about 25 minutes and it only got warm with a little stink. it is either his amp was set WAY incorrect or it was a one in a million faulty coil. DC's are great subs

yea 3" will be plenty, that thing will be fn heavy.

off of the DAT 1000.1 the three twelves would be louder AND get lower, probably sound better too. this forum is kinda biased towards fi and others. now the BTL would be louder off of more wattage. but you have to decide how much power you actually want before you will get a solid answer.

you can call it being a dick but there is nothing worse than a shop that carries great equipment but does shit work, has no pride in their work, and just flat out don't know what they are doing with that equipment not saying anything personally about you or saying you are like that ^^^ but if you have to ask about a brand then you don't know that brand and should not be in a position to install, give advice, offer an opinion, sell or install anything from that brand. know the product like the back of your hand first. if you were just asking just to see what brands people would be interested in from a customer targeting stand point then i am sorry.

if you have to ask then you probably shouldn't be opening a shop where you are supposed to be a professional and know answers to questions like your own.
