  1. So you tried to remove the door panel with the speakers still in it, then the amps popped. My guess is the speaker wires in that door panel touched ground, so basically you grounded out your outputs on the amp.
  2. Check out Jacobs official cleaning house thread... I think he still has one 3000D. http://www.soundsolutionsaudio.com/forum/topic/10634-used-b-stock-refurbished-amps-and-misc/
  3. I have the Portal Cable 3 piece kit (895PK) It has the Fixed Base and Plunge Base. Can't go wrong with it.
  4. Yea, you make a box that fits rather tightly in the area behind the back seat. Once you get into place and mounted, use expanding foam across the top and sides. If you can't get any underneath it, use duct tape to seal the bottom. Also make sure the rear deck is sealed too, I've seen it done with sound deadener, but I've used expanding foam under the deck successfully. Good luck!
  5. When replacing mosfets, you should replace all of them with new ones that are of the same batch. Otherwise you are asking for more failures down the road.
  6. Make sure you measure the length down the middle of the port, including in the turn. Don't measure the inside or the outside, just down the middle.
  7. I don't know how I missed the build, but I just went through the whole thing today. All I can say is Dang! Looks solid!! Can't wait to see what that 200.4 does too. Keep up the good work, looks like your dad knows what he is doing too!
  8. Should be in your inbox. The 700 may have come with the controller, but I know that the 701 does not, I have one.
  9. I can email you the manuals for the H701 and the controller if you want, that way you can see all the specs and controls to see if it is the way you want to go.
  10. If you are looking at the Valentine One, also look at the Passport Redline. It beats the Valentine One in long distance range, but the Valentine One beats the Redline at instant on by a fraction of a second. So they are VERY close. Neither of those have GPS though. I just got the Passport 9500ix, I've only had it for a couple of days but I'll let you know how it is on range if you want.
  11. Another funny thing about this, one of her friends was on the news down her saying that the McDonalds employees were partly to blame because they were fighting back. Fucking typical. Nobody is responsible for their own actions. I'm glad she's in the slammer!!
  12. Read much? They don't make one for his vehicle.
  13. Ogrish used to be the shit before Liveleak took it over. I don't bother anymore.
  14. My voltage never goes down that low, but I do notice that when my alt is hot the voltage is lower. Have you noticed that when you have the lower voltage if your temps are higher? Have you been driving longer? Is it hotter outside? One other problem I had with my MLA was a loose ground. My voltage was all over the place, I thought my Alt was going out on me. I narrowed the problem by simplifying the situation by removing the MLA. When I did that the voltage was rock solid. When I removed it, I noticed that the spot where I had the MLA grounded was not as clean as it was when I had just installed it. Now I have it grounded to the negative bus bar on my front battery, voltage is rock solid with the MLA installed. Just some ideas to think about.
  15. Yea, you need the Methyl Ethyl Bad Stuff (MEKP).
  16. If I ever have to call Dell for tech support and I get you on the phone, you better be as funny as you are in your vids!! Congrats dude, you have the charisma for dealing with people. You will do well!!
  17. Hell yea, I'm interested unless I have to give one of my nuts to pay for it.
