I never bandwagoned up and bought one of the most necessary tools in the box O-scopes... But I do plan on getting this thing... It just looks too easy... I want one too. I mean I dont regret getting the scope but damn, I thought I had a great tool. Now for some reason its being called a cheap POS? lol and Punky you know if you come here I can help you setup the gains with my super cool dd1. I have love for TDH like that. What a sweet heart.

  10. Sounds good, now since we all went out and bought TPI 440's (which have all of a sudden been dubbed cheap pieces of junk for some reason ) and other forms of O-scopes based on your recommendation that using an o-scope was the only right way to set amplifier gains....how bout a little make up sex for the misinformation. Im wondering where all these o-scope naysayers were back when that's all you herd about around here? Maybe somebody I know will buy one first so i dont have to waste anymore money.
  11. Thats how I use mine. Just plug her into the AUX on my HU. But my HU goes into the BC101 then to the amps. Well just my sub amp rca.
  12. shame shame shame...should be using a LC1 School me on why one use the LC1 over bass knob most bass knobs are gain adjustments or bass enhancers. an lc1 cuts signal through the rca so that you arent introducing anything to the mix. your taking away up to 1200 percent of the bass by turning the knob down. Of course you set the amp with that knob all the way up though. I wasnt fond of the LC1. I found that even when i turned the knob all the way down it still let a fair amount of bass through. I use a BC-101 basically the same thing. It does have another knob tho, I have yet to completly figure out what exactly its supposed to do. its adjustable from 40-150Hz. But yeah when setting your amps, make sure the knob is all the way open that way you have more control over the amount of signal you let through. This is an excellent point! Also something that I will include in the revised production owner's manual. If the customer's primary source is an iPhone, iPod, ect, the tracks from the CD should be ripped to the iPod at the highest bit rate possible, and then use that as the source for all testing. Also, very important, iTunes "Sound Check" HAS TO BE TURNED OFF during this process. If not the iTunes software will adjust the level of the tracks and mess you up. This is very true. I say set your gains according to the way you listen to most music, for example if you listen to CDs more than anything else use a CD to set gains, If Ipod is your thing use that, USB...whatever it is use that source for best results.

  21. Ok so all i know is if i hit a decent pot hole or go over a bump in the road to fast it feels and sounds like the truck is bottoming out. Now I am 6'3 and around 315lbs. I can stand on the bumper and bounce that truck pretty damn good but I cannot recreate what happens on the road. I can only assume that the truck is maxing out. I need to jack it up and check the frame and top of the rear to see if there looks like any metal on metal contact..if not maybe there is something else going on. All I know is I hate it so much I wish I never dropped my truck.
