what size subs? He means to fit the box you may have to trim a bit of the metal in the opening so that the box will fit into the trunk. I miss my blazer because i had endless possibilities as far as what i could have done for setups, plenty of room in there. I switched to a trunk car last august, and im still bassless. Trying to save up money, and figure out what im going to use. Ive got a pretty roomy trunk (2010 lancer) But i can tell ya, i wont be stuffing 2 15s in there. I was thinking of a single 15 off 2200-3500W, but now im lookin at a pair of 12s off some decent power once i save up enough. Like everyone else has said, even if the box fits, running that kinda power, where are you going to putt the amps and batts? And keep in mind when you build a box that big for the trunk, your spare is going to be inaccessable. So you may wanna consider moving it and stuffing some batts into the spare tire area.

alright, ill try and get those done for ya by the weekend. I work 6a-230p so when i get off i usually am a lazy bastard, or got shit to do. Today was a bit of both. Had to do a lil cleanin, and just overall lazy. But ya, Should be able to get those to ya this week. Should be able to do it with one sheet of MDF too. Thats all mine took, and i fucked up and had to re cut pieces, and your port will be shorter.

Ya, i got dimmensions for it and a cut list, maybe even a cut sheet somewhere. 2x baffle, all you do is add another sheet of MDF on top, so itll make the box 3/4" taller than mine was. HIGHLY SUGGEST BRACING INTERNALLY 1" dowel rod works great. If you dont brace it, dont be surprised when screws break. Are you in any kinda hurry to get this built or no? Shit, if youre in the chicago area and got like $40 the box is yours. It isnt the prettiest in person, but it got plenty loud. It wont fit in my trunk, and i dont have any other car to put it in. Its been collecting dust in my garage since Aug.

I failed, i messed up on the kerfs and said fuck it, ill make it work anyway, had a show to go to the next day. 4.8 cubes, 32 Hz, 60 in^2 of port area. I can make a few changes (shorten up the port for a higher tuning, add 2x baffle in there, etc) to make it work for your HDCs. You could tune them to 32 Hz if you want and theyll absolutely MURDER the lows and probably play down LOW. But id say 35-38 will suit you.

When i come in, the guy behind the counter tried charging me full price for new shocks. I asked for that specific manager. I like to avoid confrontations where they arent needed. But when someone is straight up trying to fuck me, i dont bother biting my tounge. Out of curiosity, how do you know what a person like me is off of one post? And how do you deal with people like me at a grocery store every day? Cuz the price you rang up and the one on the shelf werent the same? Got something somewhere i can make a few changes to to make the tuning work with an AQ. 37-38 is good. What kinda music do you like? They drop low with 38 but from what ive seen get nasty with low tuning. I used to have a blazer so i got a few deisngs for those things floating around on my laptop and on the interwebz.

I think the highest ive tuned a box was 34 Hz for my own personal use. And that was one of the first ones i did. But tuning is kinda dependant on what woofer you wanna run. Some like lower tuning. Others, like AQ and DD will drop way below tuning and like tuning up higher around 38Hz. Fav box in my blazer was 4.8 cubes, 60 in^2 of port area, tuned around 32 Hz

Port is Way too small. My box that was about 4.75-4.8 cubes had 60 in^2 of port. Youre at 6.2 cubes with 40 in ^2.

Are you sure about that? Have you checked with the car off? Check them in the morning, before you start your car. Thats a better way to figure out if theyre holding it better or not. You cant say they do when the car is on, because thats the alt. And right after you shut the car off, they just got done being charged by your alt. Your alt works better in cold, so it will better charge the batts. But if your resting voltage in the morning is better in the winter than the summer, then yes, they do hold it better in the car. But if not, which they shouldnt, youll see its the opposite.

Ya, spent 7k keeping her running by Apr. And the day before CFC ended my ABS light came on in a turn not on the breaks. You know what that menas, wheel bearing or speed sensor. Which means new hub, probably both, so theres 1k. 1k = just over 3 payments on a 2010 lancer. Hmm.....wasnt about to put another dollar into that car for the year aside from regularly scheduled maintenance and stereo.

Why? He said theyre D4, you cant get a 2 ohm load. You can get 1 or 4. If they were D2 you could get .5 or 2 for the pair. So...If his subs are D4 he should look at an amp that is 1 ohm. I learned the hard way when i bought my subs. I bought 2 D2s, thinking i would run them both off diff amps, then got amps that werent 1 ohm stable. Ended up running them both off a 2 ohm stable amp that put out more power.

Only thing ill say, i work a bit over 30 miles from home. When i had the blazer, i needed 2 tanks a week usually. With my lancer, a tank lasts a week. There was a point i was spending about 120 a week in gas with that thing.

Get the blazer. I miss mine. I love my new car but as soon as its paid off (5 years from now) Ill be buying another 2000 blazer, 2wd this time, to have as a toy. Those things can get loud pretty easily too. I say blazer.
