  1. I plan on makin the trip, only 40 miles and ive never gotten my blazer metered. That and i figure i can meet a few people, hear some nicer systems.
  2. I heard about that kinda stuff from there. I ended up going to acoustic edge, loved it. Finished up in end of march but the problem is the economy sucks and alot of shops in my area have closed down or gone out of business. I have a resume at one, but they still havent made a decision, hopefully ill have a job before too long.
  3. No reason to knock the 9104, lol. It does a decent job in my blazer. (its all i could/can afford at the time/for the time being) What program do you use?
  4. Do you really think i paid for virtual DJ? I got audacity, havent experimented like this with it yet. I used audacity to make ringtones, lol.
  5. im havin some fun messin around with it but i really suck, lol. Still tryin to figure out this thing. I figured out how to slow it down but im still playin with the effects and what not. Ill figure it out, if you got any hints/tips im all ears
  6. Alright, i know some of you guys make your own s&c versions of songs. What program do you use? I was going to try soundtrack pro but its a mac program. Im running vista on my laptop if it matters. I just downloaded screwlab pro, but cant figure out how to use the thing to save my life, and dont have 50 to spend on it when the free trial expires.
  7. Probably the main reason i love that song is it reminds me of when i was at SIU Carbondale. Every time I hear it i just wanna drive down there and get fucked up
  8. If you liked that first song, try Aphex Twin. Not much vocals, but the actual music is similar. Find selected ambient works vol. 1 and 2. Vol. 1 is my favorite, especially green calx. If you want some just weird music look up venetian snare. Alot of it sounded like pure noise when i first started listening to it. Rossz Csillag Alatt Született is my fav album, has alot of strings in it.
  9. i thought the 10pm was pretty common, just wasnt sure about where youre at.
  10. think you can piss him off from the corner? id try and find out, lol
  11. its not even late. I know here id say go ahead, cant do anything till after 10 anyway (pretty sure thats the way the laws are set here for that kinda issue) I had my neighbor threaten to do the same thing when i was gain settin mine. Then again, my entire family thinks shes a psycho bitch who is off her meds. This was a little while ago when i was much more of an...umm...immature asshole, so i turned it up higher. Then again, this was at like noon on a weekday when most people in my neighborhood are at work except for that cu next tuesday.
  12. From what i know, yess. Thats the main reason i got mine secured, well, other than the fact that it was moving around and shit.
  13. Idk why so may people use birch. Im a cheap ass, i stick to MDF, lol. I would agree with cracker, keep the 0 ga. If you already payed for it, and already installed it, leave it. This way if you do decide someday you wanna go big again, the power wire is already there.
  14. I know a few mechanics. My one buddy who is a mechanic reccomended going with a detroit locker limited slip, i just dont quite know what ring and pinion i would need to get for it.
  15. also, this is my DD, i dont tow, and the system isnt that big yet. Someday i imagine it will make the blazer noticeably slower off the line...What should my ratio be 3.23, 3.42, 3.73?
  16. ya its the 4x4...I wont lie, im not the most gentle to her, but i dont beat the piss outta it either.
  17. So...Im not going back to stock, ive blown that twice in 2 years now. So im thinking posi or a locking diff. Im not too knowledgeable when it comes to matters under the hood or involving the drivetrain. Which would be a better choice. I know Eaton is supposed to be a good name. Any and all help is appreciated. Also, where would be a good place to look that has fast reliable shipping. This is my DD and im kinda hunting for a job at the moment so i need it back in action ASAP. Thanks in advance for your help.
  18. Correct. You dont need to ground them at the same spot, just make sure they have roughly the same potential. I think mine both ended up within .05v of one another
  19. 2 layers on the hatch and the rattles inside the car have diminished greatly. outside, different story, just cant hear them inside anymore. That took 4 sheets out of the 30 i got in the bulk pack. So...now to figure out what to do next...
  20. Im tryin to get rid of those blazer rattles and get my bass louder. The added SQ from doing doors would just be a benefit. Im only running a alpine MRP-F300 for my door speakers so if deadening the doors will get a bit more from my mids and highs, im not opposed to that either.
  21. I just did my first remote start/keyless entry/alarm. Did it on my blazer, used a 787a. Pretty easy to install. Cant think of any problems i had. Work well too. When I got the blazer it had a prestigen alarm already installed (not sure which one) but it kept giving false alarms and while i was away at school my dad had it ripped out. Turns out looking back at things it was probably due to low voltage since my battery ended up being bad.
  22. alright, that sounds like a good plan, any opinions on doors? Not so much to get rid of the rattles but from what ive heard your speakers sound much better (cleaner/louder) when the doors are covered as well.
  23. well, i just finished school (took 3 courses at acoustic edge institute) and havent worked in 3 months. I can only afford one pack. Im tryin to figure out which parts i need covered most.
