how much of your mp3 is dedicated...

my 30gb iPod color photo is completely full. I've got all the collections from BigPimpin, DeCaf, and some slowed songs with added bass from here. also every time I find a new artist or start liking an artist I just get the discography so I'm not limited to their one hit wonder. 7,795 songs in all and definitely still climbing. that frequency app would be cool if we all had iPod touches -
lol my bad I just remember seeing some ridiculous number and shitting my pants. they are pretty amazing but not MSRP amazing
-
or a t3 TSNS IIRC they stopped the tall surround because they had too many problems with them ripping. too powerful a sub for that surround. but the quad ohm voice coil lets you get some crazy ohm loads so you aren't always limited to 2 ohm or 1 ohm just make sure you get a good amp to experiment on lol
-
IMO they slam hard. they won't take the 8,000-10,000 or however much they claim to rate it at just put around 4,000-5,000 and you will be slammin. whats crazy to me about them is their FS is 22hz I'd say get it for that price. MSRP is around $2,200 I think some sites I've seen it go for $1,000

that makes sense Ed thanks. I heard Rockford has a different type of "boost" so I was also wondering whats the deal with that since the sundown got me questioning if I would be louder without the knob. some say that Rockford amps won't even work without the knob plugged in.
-
So a buddy of mine did some tests on his Sundown SAZ-3000D with an O-scope and said that when the bass knob was plugged in it actually decreased the total output. The total calculation came out to about 800 watts less and it was audible too. My question is do any amp gurus out there know why that could be the case and if the Rockford amps are the same?

you can easily over do it as well if you are a big SPL guy. I was reading someones write up this guy had a TL and would put a layer down and burp and it would be increase then another layer burp increase then another layer and it stayed the same or decreased. but doors definitely or anywhere you put a speaker put deadening behind it. your subs will like the deadening too don't forget that less flex means more SPL! EDIT: gramma
-
the most critical thing IMO for deadening. I don't have no focals or rainbows lol I have the Bose setup and deadening improved my SQ by a lot. I actually had some midbass and my tweeters up in the a-pillars (stock location) got very loud. make sure you get the deadening behind the mid if anything at all because there are excess sound waves that go around the speaker and the deadening helps to reflect them back forward out to the listening area. it doesn't even need to be some expensive deadening just something to stop flex.

I'm downloading a version right now when its done I'll see if its legit and then I'll PM you the link for it

I was going to say BL too the motor looks to small compared to the cone to be a 2 slug BTL plus the BTL's have more of a slope on the top of the motor. ask him if its the 08 or 09 version por favor

Look at member "DECAF's" skills on box building!
thehoe92 replied to newls1's topic in Subwoofers / Enclosures
from what I am seeing the angled piece where audioque is isn't being used for airspace so why not cut that out and have it be a shelf for batteries kind of like what steve has? very nice design though decaf -
with the right box the BL will handle 1500 watts. make sure you get it fully loaded though. I inverted mine and have the air conditioning vent pointed right on the magnet so I can bump all day long. they get loudd too

from now on make your footage steadier DO NOT ever use a steadicam filter they end up looking like shit and most of the time zoom way in on the footage in order to get rid of unwanted shake. Vegas was very easy for me to understand and it was the only "free" program I could use before I got my mac that was able to capture and edit HD footage so I stuck with it. premiere was daunting when I was first beginning but that was before I knew anything about final cut pro because they are essentially the same program.

new super system build
thehoe92 replied to troy's topic in General Audio - Can't find a category for your question? Ask here.
well I have got a tahoe you could buy thats already got beat in it while you plan on your build lol. my mom has a 2001 suburban and compared to a tahoe you can fit A LOT more beat into it and still have room for batteries and amps. tahoes are very easy to disassemble and there is lots of room to run wires. the dash comes off easy to get behind the head unit. you have access to TONS of accessories if you don't like the look of it. most alternator companies on here offer GMC alts and alt brackets so you don't need to get much custom work. you can fit 4 alternators tons of leg and head room. the only downside is the fact that sure things are easy to take off and put back on but don't do it too much they use clips for just about everything and some break if you aren't careful and I mean break on the plastic not on the metal clip itself. and if you wear them out then they are more prone to fall or snap or come off while you have your beat cranked. I would say go for a tahoe just because it is a little more compact a suburban is too long IMO and feels more like a bus and tahoes you can find relatively cheap for 2000-2003 NBS -
good first try with premiere. I have always found the adobe line of editing software to be a little confusing. you might want to try the trail version of Sony Vegas. and if you have any questions about editing feel free to PM me I've been doing it for a while.

take the number of coils / the ohm load / the number of woofers = your final ohm load so say 2 dual 1 ohm 15's 2 coils / 1 ohm / 2 woofers = 1 ohm final load
