well found out the problem.... it was just the little 7.5 amp fuse in the fuse box.. that was it.. got it going. was really loud and deep, then the fucking sub blew.. haha. oh well.... its covered w/ a 3 yr warranty.. it was definitely a factory defect, but im still happy that everything is fine now. appreciate all the help fellas.

i really really like the Digital Designs 9500.. wild as hell sub. if i had the money i would invest in a couple.. but they need A LOT of power to get em really loud. and a well built box.

i'll check that first. i mean i scraped the shit out of the paint, there is absolutely no paint left there, but ill check everything. im going to plug the factory radio back in there and see if it powers up as well. if it does then it is definitely the head unit. if thats the case i am going to get either the CDA-9856 or the CDE-9857 from alpine. and invest in a relay b/c 3000 watts from two amps is too much for that one little 12v from the headunit. dont you think? thanks for dropping that suggestion steve. its always good to hear from the site owner ;D

just dump some kinetik batts or some yellowtops in there and you will be perfectly fine with nearly 5000 watts probably(estimate) i mean a battery only draws ~10 amps of current to charge it from your alternator. so with enough power from the batteries you can run multiple amps and be perfectly fine. i have only one yellowtop and a 135 amp alt. right now under the hood in my civic with the BIG 3.. i ran 1000 watts with absolutely no dimming or any problems what so ever. i am investing in another battery (Kinetik HC800) and alot of 1/0 gauge to keep up with my other amp.

i use all 1/0 gauge wire when i do the big 3.. i also have 2 runs of 1/0 from the alternator to the battery... the big 3 does NOT suck at all.. make sure you solder the wires too instead of crimping them.. it gives a much better contact and better current. check all your grounds as well and make sure you sanded the paint off of them completely ... this should help you out. a new alternator will definitely help you. what kind of vehicle do you have all this in?

nope. its not the battery. im adding another soon anyway. either a kinetik or a redtop.. ill do the redtop as the starter battery and move my yellowtop to the back of the car, but as i said my headunit will not turn back on at all.. it has to be bad, car starts fine so its not the battery but i will need to get an extra battery for the trunk to get some better current and such. will be buying soon.

nah.. it WAS playing music.. then EVERYTHING shut off after a little bit.. i really think its the headunit b/c it wont turn on anymore... so im getting a new one very soon.

I installed my MTX 7500 15 dual voice coil sub. and other mtx 7801... i only had one amp hooked up (only 1 was running about 500 watts to the sub..the other just waiting for the other sub) so i had the both of them in there and my mtx thunder 302 2 channel amp.. they were just connected to the headunit's remote wire.. no relay or anything.. i went down the road in my neighborhood and was testing it out.. first the front speakers kept making a snapping noise then the back speakers.. which are hooked up to the 2 channel amp kept cutting out when the bass hit. then everything just shut off. headunit speakers amps..everything.. car ran fine.. what in the fuck could be the damn problem? i am pissed as fuck right now. i need help!! i think my damn headunit is blown, but why did the speakers keep cutting out when the bass hit? PLEASE REPLY!!!

i have an alpine headunit as well, the CDA-9847... subwoofer is 15/15 and bass is at 0, amp gains set @ 3/4 never go above 22 out of 35 b/c when i turn it past 22 my 6x9 speakers in the rear deck, for some odd reason dont get louder.. they get quieter when i get past that.. you guys know of any reason why it might do that? they are Alpine Type-R 6x9's powered by an MTX thunder 302 2-channel amp.

i dont care really about the smilies and what not.. i mostly care about if i can read it or not.. burgundy seems a bit bland to me.. red was definitely better. maybe try a royal blue? i dont know. just throwin some suggestions up in the air.

wow that was the fastest sale ever. I can promise you wont regret. You best post pics ;D also since they are dual 4, you will be able to wire them in 2ohms(paralel) or 8ohms(series), each sub can handle 800 watts rms. so make sure your amp can do atleast 600watts x 2 at 2ohms i have to disagree with this. if you wire 2 dual 4 ohm voice coils in parallel it gives you a 1 ohm load. if you wire them in series it will give you a 4 ohm load. now if you plan to run an amp to each sub you can do 2 ohms or 8 ohms.
