CJ is a good guy, but listen to what Orion is telling you. He has first hand experience with a 12 inch level 6.

I trust that Scott wouldn't put out something that wouldn't work mechanically. He's always said that he wouldn't produce it, if it didn't work. But back to the OPs post. 12 inch subs with a 4 inch coil are a real PITA

It's been done before and like 88 said, the results weren't what you'd expect. If you want a sweet 12 that will work mechanically try using a sp4 12. I have a feeling you might be in for a headache of you make those 12 inch level 6s Level 6 is a turd anyway,...imho.cut its legs out from it, meh. That's right, the point of wiring lower is to keep the impedance closer to the amps highest output after box rise. The box rise all depends on the box though. Some people get very little box rise, which in most cases is a good thing, and for others it can rise a few ohms.
