I like how everytime there is a petition or some old lady know it all on the news talking about loud systems, they always look up the competition cars hitting in the 170s and acting like those cars are actually driving around on the streets. Ive had this same decision recently, ive decided on 3 15s to keep it under the window line, and i also end up with a little more cone area, more motors, and more coils. With 3 15s you win in all around except for some funky ohm loads. but i got that part all figured out. 1.5 strapped daily, .66 strapped for comps.

hard to see, but its a full tilt sweep starting at 0hz and the box is tune at around 42hz.. so a good ways under tuning lets out full excursion

8krms will require the same electrical upgrades no matter which amps you pic. but ill say sundown. ppl that want something cheaper will say AQ then youll have ppl that are on the crescendo wagon now that will recommend that. EDIT^^^ i was slower than the wagon..

parts express really is your friend. ive had many things from there and they are far from weak, unless your trying to find a sub for 40 dollars that will handle 500rms Id say look at getting 2 dayton hf 10s, out of your range but really good some of the dayton quatros would be in the 200 dollar range for two, or you could go with the titanic mk III, even the dayton classic is suppose to be good and its 70

I say 4 12s, more cone area, more motors, more coils. ive enjoyed single sub setups for a while, but once you get to a certain power level its hard for just one sub to take a ton of power all day.

doesnt look like there is room between the port and the back of the car. maybe fire it to the drivers side..

a guy on caraudio make them too, heres mine i got from him. Thor, how much space do you have from the back of the port and the back of the box.. it looked really tight. Have you tested spl yet?

I had a 15 in a box, with sub up and ports forward, it did a 150.0, i flipped the box around to have sub up port back and got up to 150.1. To me the extra .1 that i would never notice wasnt worth the trunk rattle

so far ive only popped my fuses on my 1500s once, it was about about 10 or 20 .25ohm burps. But it sucked so bad trying to find some, they popped at about 8:50pm, stopped at walmart, and the biggest they had was 30. and all the autoparts stores were closed. I do like the internal fusing just because its one less thing to wire up though, but ill go external for improvement,hahah

i got one. i think the fastest i got it up to was 32. then one day i wrecked it and my face and shoulder slid about 20 or 30 ft down the road. little brain bucket helmet on. I actually just found out where it was buried in our shed a few days ago. I couldnt ever get it started anymore. so now it set for forever. The motor only has like 2 parts, and i cant get it started... good think i like stereos better
