  1. 3 batts showed up today, heavy little things, haha cant wait to so how much my voltage improves
  2. you want the center distance of the port to equal your port length, so you have to average both side of an L port to get the actual distance. with fecupe's dims you would have one side 22" and with a 3.5" wide port the other side would be 29", so your effective length is 25.5 inches what you need is a 15" side and a 3.5" side. that will give one side an 18.5" length and the other side a 25.5" length, so your effective port length with this is 22"
  3. I modeled it at 33 hz, 12 cubes, and a 47.5 x 4" port, just about 20 inches long. I usually have my boxes at 34~35hz though. and it plays all but a few of the chopped and screwed music I have
  4. You could fit 8 sa12s in that much airspace and have a good sized port tuned low, and still have some space left over.
  5. save money for recones after he got another amp to then, if he did that. 6 12s has more coils to better handle power, and more motors for more power behind the cone. all the 4 15s have is a slight cone area advantage.
  6. hmm.. maybe he stole it. Im pretty sure bestbuy would have to give it back to him. i say its a hot item.
  7. not all are sluts. my girl has only been with me, and tells me thats all she plans too. and her sister in law has only been with my girls brother. but i also know some dirty girls with numbers in the double digits. throw some math in and you have an average of 4...
  8. I built a friends truck with 2 sa 12s on an sae 1200d, and its doing the numbers your wanting. you should have no problems doing it with 6 12s, and I would expect it to get louder than the sealed 15s.
  9. Ups has always been good for me, except one time when i had 2 70 pound TSNS motors getting delivered. he picked up the box with one in it, got it about 2 or 3 inches from the ground and just dropped it on his dolly. with fragile labels all over it. I dont have much experience with fedex since I dont usually use them, but when i got my re xxx delivered I was in class, the driver called me since noone was there and asked if anyone would be there in the next hour before he had to head back from that route, and he came back once someone got home to drop it off. worst package I ever had delivered was from usps thought.. might off been the shippers fault though
  10. check out partsexpress.com there is one on there that is a good deal, I use it and it works great
  11. no harm done
  12. umm.. haha if your limited on power, i would go with more cone area.. usually. if you want more knowledge on the xcon i would ask about it over on ssaudio forum.
  13. yea, cuz youve been here for a long time, and already know it all Actually your right. Because here I am thinking I was dealing with mature people. Sorry for jumping to conclusions. Well if you immature ones would stop joining and not reading rules.
  14. yea, cuz youve been here for a long time, and already know it all
  15. It because it eventually turns in to a nuthugger fight usually. but the answer to your question is that one. the only way to really know the answer for you is to have you put both setups in your car and test for yourself, and sell which ever one you dont like. Which means youll end up keeping both.
  16. Im assuming its a dual 2 ohm sub. You can just wire each positive of the sub to each positive on the amp, and the same with the negatives, and it will be at 1 ohm
  17. Were the amps hooked up to power/ground, remote, and rcas but no subs. and you drove around with the amps on with no subs connected? That could be the problem. Im not exactly sure why but that can hurt amps.
  18. thats the kid ive been waiting for 2 and a half months why didnt you just use that time to learn how to design your own boxes?
  19. maybe the sun is shining on it alot?? that question is like calling a doctor and asking why your toe hurts. we kinda need some background info.
  20. a good ported box will have a good freq range. and most noobs that ask which will be louder hardly even care about the larger freq range that you might get with sealed over ported, but just that ported will be louder.
  21. Ok so Ill just get a vented box for now. Im not too familiar with sundown, and are you talking subs? amps? or both? both are great from them
