  1. I am probably going to hell but it doesn't seem like anyone in the frame gets hurt so I can't help but keep restarting this video... and laughing my ass off every time. They should have included more of the interview part:
  2. Depends what kind of fashion accessory you want to be seen with. Before I get called "negative" or harsh I am assuming you just want a mac to look cool because you didn't say what else you would use it for. You gave us no info in that respect actually, so how can we even give you a good answer without guessing or assuming this thing is just there to get you laid, like a new puppy on a leash. I personally would go for the PC no matter what the hell you do because 1) it saves money 2) it will be able to do just about anything if you build it right 3) you can game on it, which is really the ultimate test of your computer's prowess figuring in today's game requirements
  3. You think they would have more pride in their install, after all, they don't want to damage any reputation.. or the equipment they plan to steal back.
  4. Either way this is a relatively recent phenomenon, in the past year or so it seems. We'll be telling our grandkids about how much better things were back in the day.
  5. I understand they may have had some big broadband bills, but daaamn... seriously. Why do I even have highspeed interwebs if I can't even load a stupid video.
  6. I could find a use for a 1080i tv. One man's treasure. Oh and did anyone else think "Won't your papa be disgusted he found your TV busted?" when they read this title? Haha
  7. really? rars are the worst, i avoid them at all costs. I've had more fakes that were rars than anything too.
  8. Well I like the TS because they mean no heads in the shot or people walking by but will only go to them if I am desperate. That scene shit is annoying, sometimes a perfectly good torrent will be up somewhere and it gets nuked because of some technicality.
  9. Agreed but those are too small and flimsy. The CDJ-800 or 1000 is going to be far more durable and easy to use.
  10. lol well I didn't say CAM I just said cam, a TS is made with a camera, so it is a cam.
  11. That is unusual? I mean, they often combine different audio and video but I'm shocked a screener wouldn't yield audio. Maybe it was a fake screener, odds are it was. Some cams are so good nowadays you can't tell. Saw a book of eli cam and really wished i had seen that in the theater, the music was cool.. everything was cool.
  12. Demo is up but and I downloaded it but still haven't had time to try it out. Not sure if I'll preorder because so far they only give you another game variant 1 month before everyone else. that might be a huge deal for some but I only like the conquest/flag type games. FUCK goldrush and all that other gay stuff.
  13. They look cool and sound cool for the first few weeks you have them but they do fall apart too. I guess I am Mr Negative, but I've done a fair amount of headphone testing (at least with the earbuds) and it is hard to find headphones that don't just fall apart after a couple of naps at school or in the airport (obviously sleeping tends to put stress on them). As far as full headphones go I never understood why a DJ would pay money for more than was needed. A) they are the only person listening to them only one ear is ever really used C) why don't they have some kind of tiny monitor or something like musicians have? D) quality doesn't matter as long as you can hear what you need to hear (bass, clicks, snare hits) Honestly, if you want to cut corners on your budget skip the $150 pretty boy headphones (that I do like, don't get me wrong). It's a huge waste of money and those headphones are also bound to break sooner or later (they always have such weak plastic in the middle).
  14. Oh yeah, the initial investment is steep but $1800 if you are able to find two good used once will pay for itself almost immediately in not having to buy vinyl. You can still spin vinyl mp3's easily and record them that way if you want, it sounds good too. BTW, please don't get that Behringer Mixer, seriously, they have major level and phasing problems I've heard and you need something good. If it was an older Behringer it might be different but the new ones are supposed to be pretty bad. Look on google for reviews of them. I think Gearslutz.com has people debating back and forth about them often.
  15. Props getting it all together and on budget and all but that mixer is garbage! Wow. Put it this way, would you install a $140 amp in your car? I mean, really.. maybe it doesn't quite make the best analogy, but even the connections and circutry in that mixer are very cheap and are going to be almost guaranteed to eventually wear out and buzz and sound like ass. I guess that is fine for a beginner, but not if you want to have this nice PA and setup. The mixer is almost the most important thing, actually it is.. it is how you shape the sound coming out. You get what you pay for. Ad another zero to that and you might be able to find something quality.
  16. I am not proud to be saying this but skip the vinyl dude. It's a pain in the ass and you'll be able to do the same stuff and much more with some CD turntables. The same thing goes for CD turntables except it isn't Technics but Pioneer CDJ-1000's that are the absolute standard. They run $1500 new a piece but you should be able to find some nice ones used for under $1000 a piece. Otherwise go all out and get the new CDJ-2000's and you'll be very happy (about $1700 I think). Imagine being able to play any song? I mean any song, even if you only can find it on youtube you can play it (although not recommended for all your songs, but it will sound ok for the occasional track). Mixers are even more pricey. If you do go with the CDJ2000's you might want to get a mixer that allows video because among the many new features is DVD capability (imagine spinning video and scratching it like a record!). I don't know any good brands now, but you basically want 4 channel mixer with all the levels, good headphone outs and good compatibility with other gadgets (if you want to run the laptop you can put in special CD's just like on vinyl tables that will let you play the laptop songs as though they were on the CD). Also helps to have a few crossover effects, hi med low cross.
  17. Yep, kind of wish I had convinced my group to see Crazy Heart instead (as we had originally intended) because the screener for this came out a day or two later, but still a decent movie... not the best and easily forgettable but Terry Gilliam is cool.
