if you are planning on having your system on for a prolonged time with the car off, then you may want to look into an isolator. if not and its just for a daily driver, then you dont need one.

you can watch mike's video on the big three too.

the engine block is your actual car engine. so you have to look for a bolt on your engine that you can take off that is safe and ground it to the chassis of your car.

your stock alt will strain with ~1000w. i know its not recommended but it should be ok with the big 3 and extra batts... edit: like expo said ^ with just replacing the main batt with the biggest batt you can fit would work.
