you know they dont make the 3000 anymore right? all the SAZ amps can go to .5ohm but it voids the warranty. so only people that really know what they are doing should mess with it.

each sub is wired to 2ohm or they are 2ohm coils? turn the box to face the rear. you "think" 2 cubes? did you build it or is this a prefab box? what size is the port? how did you tune the amps? are the subs sharing the same airspace?

looks like a pair of 12"s off 300w.

the only thing that is the same, that i can see, is that they both have neo magnets. the top and bottom plate look different. cant see the VC, pole piece, cooling, spider stiffness, etc.

sounds low to me. BUT it could easily be your song choice. or if they are in the trunk it would be right. find what frequency you peak at then find a song that plays that frequency. give more system details, box size, tuning, electrical, ohm load, song played, trunk car or in the cab, ports and subs firing direction, etc.

if its dry then go for it. i didnt think anything was supposed to go on top of spectrum though (could easily be wrong).

talk to rusty when you order your subs. make sure he thinks the level 5 will work best for you. for me, a level 5 would probably be quieter than my XLs. rusty will make sure you are set up right.

the level 5's are monsters. they can take 10k. they are designed to take a ton of power and they need that power to really shine. remember all the electrical upgrades your car will need to be able to power the amps required to run these subs. if you want to use under 3k per woofer then i would recommend the XL with dual leads. either way, please, please, please make sure you know how to set the gains perfectly.

anything image dynamics sounds good lol. the rear deck rattles pretty bad so im not thrilled about the sound inside the car but he has some second skin on the way to fix that. i would guess its around 138db with the seats up.

Ill give some technical details of the build. box: 1.6 cubes each side. tuned to 35hz. little over 13sq in of port area per cu ft. subs: image dynamics IDv3 12"s, D4 coils for a 1ohm load. amp: sundown SAE-1200 (good thing i know how to set gains) HU: alpine... forget the model. front stage: image dynamics CTX65CS (midbass kicks ass on these) front stage amp: sundown SAX-125.2 owners original budget: $500-600 Final bill: $1000 and counting (and its all my fault ) nothing very original about this build but we didnt have a lot of time to get super fancy. the 45* at the back of the port was made a lot bigger to make it all measure up right, just didnt get it in the pics. feel free to leave the comments on this kid's 1st build.

ya he didnt wire that thing right at all. the jumper should go from the - on one coil to the + on the other. thats why it smoked off 1000w. so really only one coil was getting power.

no idea what it takes for me. but my best friend will be shit faced in 2 shots and throwing up in 3.

we should organize group meets where we drive around to local shops and all act like noobs. then after each meet we all bring vids or recordings back to the forums. id love to have a video of some one calling my DC subs "flea market" then giving them a demo.

i dont think a "neck down" type of girl is worth the drive to cali for you. lol at least i hope its not... but i understand. some times we all go through a dry spell. better to drive all that way than to bang a fat chick. that way you will be able to sleep the next night.
