ill bet that will only help you sell the car. not get more money for it. your asking 1k over blue book for a car that will sell for less than blue book. everyone will see that price and just pass it up.

im trying to add a second alt into a fairly small space. the regular 5" alt wont fit but i think a 4" thick alt will. problem is, no one says how thick the alts are. anyone know of a thin alt? it can be just a stock one. the ford 4g looked skinny but i cant find dimensions. mechman has one but im not sure if its skinny enough.

ill take that bet. to get my alt out i have to unbolt the engine mounts, take out the windshield wiper arms (cause there isnt enough clearance), then put a strap around the engine so that i can pull it forward. only then will there be enough room to get the alt out. its on the back side of the engine, under the windshield so even after doing all this you will never be able to see the bolts. you just have to feel your way around while laying on the engine. do i win?

not sure what you looking for here but 12"s get louder. well... for most people.

i say go for it. as long as they are in a box itll be ok. the speakers in the rear deck will probably blow after you put the sub in. its best to take those out so you get better flow into the cabin. you know what... i think im going to find a little place to put an 8" now. i think i got a good spot...

i dont think its too bad. if you didnt have the 15" it would make a great little SQ setup. not sure itll be the best with the sub in. but its a much simpler idea than glassing new doors to fit 8"s in.

they probably got spooked off just after getting into the car. maybe security walked by or too many people walked tward the car. ill bet some one saved your ass somehow. but they know they can get into your car and you have something to be stolen. they could easily come back. if your school has a big parking lot, park somewhere else in it. ask the office if they have cameras set up and you can make sure to park in view of one of them. get an alarm! they know your an easy target.

yes, it can go over the mat. however spectrum is an underbody coat. you cant put anything on top of it but itll stick fine to the mat. i used it in my doors.

well no shit 4/0 will have less resistance than 1/0. thats not even a question... thats the same thing as saying "4awg has more resistance than 1/0" its a given!! and if all the strands are touching then it acts like one piece of copper (as you put it) then the small strands would still be better because its more copper. you contradicted yourself in one post. and its not about resistance. if you care about the resistance of 1/0, or bigger, wire then youve never done the math. its all about how many amps you can run through it.

only your presets or does it forget everything? eq settings, time?

user error. buy a bigger amp. getting is fixed will cost more than what the amp is worth if it was working. check and make sure the amp didnt take the subs out with it. use a DMM and test them.

so you would run 4awg to a 3000w amp?......... dont listen to this guy... run the 1/0awg to the amp. thats cause your getting a cheap amp. hmm... i think the train left you behind. smaller strands means less gaps inbetween the strands = more copper in the wire = less resistance. is it enough of a difference to really care about? no.
