  1. sounds like you could be doing a lot wrong. how much power are you giving them. do not answer MAX wattage. only look at RMS
  2. ass hole... lol YES! finaly some real answers!!! yes i am looking at the db rating. one of the 5" fans does 90cfm at 19db. ok so anything above 40cfm should be great. thats all i needed to know. thanks a lot chevy!!!

  10. ok here is my reason for asking and not just going for the biggest fan. im going to put the fans on the back of flared ports. if i can use smaller 2.5" fans then i can fit 2 of them on the front of the amp rack and would look better. if they just dont move enough air then ill deal with the one big fan.

  12. im not really liking those crossflows. but i have an idea that i want to do with the fans and it wont work with a crossflow. i just need to know how much airflow is enough. i can get anywhere from 30-90cfm

  15. my saz-1500's are in seperate amp racks and im going to put in cooling fans. but i need to know how much airflow i need? i keep looking for fans with the most flow possible but i realised i might not need all that airflow. i want to use two 2"-2.5" fans for each amp but i can go up to 1 5" fan for each. they will all be pulling air.

  17. its called a parasitic drain. its not THAT uncommon. i dont think its you alt. that sounds more like a guy that doesnt know and is trying to guess. we all do that some times. look up how to find a parasitic drain. now if it is the alarm, is it fixable or is that just something you have to live with? i have a drain as well and i think its the alarm so this could help me as well.

  20. they are more efficient unstrapped. thats the only differance ive seen. mine are strapped though.
