more efficient? a bigger box is more efficient, a smaller box has less rise. every sub is different, they all will not like big boxes. you still want to control the cone from bottoming out. that roundover looks pretty small and the spiral bit should be a plunge bit, no bearings.

get a router with a tube for suction then get an up spiraling bit for just cutting holes. it will spit almost all the sawdust up into the vacuum. i would suggest dewalt but i have two of the same model that are broken and the repair guy at dewalt said the older, 15 year old, one was pretty impressive that it was that old. then i have a 50 year old craftsman that still works great. but then craftsman isnt the brand it used to be.

It's faster and more simple to use but I don't see how it's ''better'' An oscope (well, the scopes we use) would only be able to tell you if you're clipping. The DD1 tells you whether or not you have distortion. As I know you know, you can have distortion without clipping, but you can't have clipping without distortion. if you are just using a cheap hand held one, yes. but let me ask you this, when you have the bass turned up full tilt do you really care if there is a slight amount of distortion? could you ever actually hear it? wouldnt all the rattling panels be 100x worse? but this isnt a topic about the dd1 so lets not make it into one.

as long as you set them CORRECTLY, yes. every time you turn the volume down, the amp puts out less power. with every note in a song, power changes. and due to those factors and others, i wont confuse you with, your subs will likely only see 500w each, at most. what amp and subs are you getting? make sure the subs are dual 4ohm or dual 1ohm.

packing peanuts would turn into dust from a battery. remember to not have bolts on the terminals. they will get pushed in the first time the battery is dropped upside down. ive seen it happen.

I swapped the RCAs coming from the front RCA channel to the sub RCA on HU and plugged them from the front amp RCAs to the Sub amp and the same problem occured. I'm thinking either blown RCAs or just simply a bad headunit ground. There's a ground directly behind my headunit I'm going to try an ground there. Not trying to be a jackass or what not but thats not what he meant by swapping rca's. He means did you buy new and fully working rca wires and tried to connect them from the headunit to your amps to see if the noise is present. I would buy new rca cables and run them on the driver side of your vehicle in the floor panel that is underneath the plastic trim you can pop up and slip the wire underneath. Im sure that will kill your alternator noise. You also gotta remember that on your vehicle, there are wire harnesses that come from the factory that are under your carpet and im sure that wire loom is causing some noise too. small note on this, i would run the new rca straight to the amp and not spend time hiding it under a panel. no point in spending time making it look clean only to find out it doesnt help any. if it does solve the problem, then hide the wires and retest. also try running a new HU ground straight to the battery.

i really doubt its the weather... lake tahoe is always a little colder than here in the bay area. i have the same alt and i dont see any difference in voltage as the weather is warming up. just call up DC on monday. they are very helpful and they will know the answer. plus im sure the alt is under warranty so you will be covered.
