first 2 posts nailed it. where is the voltage meter hooked up to?
-
i might sell my mayhems. $350 shipped each. D.7

do you feel this leak? how do you know you have a leak? remove the rear deck and see if there are gaps in the metal up there.

i have taken to doing this on all my boxes BUT thats only because I have enough clamps to make it work. just butting two boards together with wood glue and shooting nails into it wont make a good bond at all. I clamp it all down then shoot nails in, then take the clamps off and move to the next section. for the double baffle, lots of glue, yes. i used to use a ton of clamps and 2x4"s to hold everything down. now, I just stand on top of the box and shoot brad nails next to my feet until I am satisfied.

silicone is fine. itll be cured after 24 hours. people have used silicone directly on the surround to repair tares. dont worry about it. when you do dowels, be sure to get a screw into it as well. through the box. just measure the panel it will go on from two sides. then you measure the same on the mirrored panel. predrill, glue, screw. be sure to use a dowel thats 1.5"-2" nothing smaller.
-
always predrill. mdf splits very easily. when predrilling, choose a drill bit that is the size of the shank of the screw. i always assemble the box on top of the bottom plate and build up. its easiest to put the back of the box on last. that way you can silicone the edges on the baffle, then assemble the back wall and you can easily reach the back plate's edges from the sub cutouts.

for real

like i said. if you get two 2500s, get the mayhems. if you only want one amp, get the havocs. I'm an AA dealer, I know what the subs are rated at. birth sheets dont mean shit. they are found while using a non reactive load. in reality, your subs might see 1500w from that amp. thats why other companies dont do birth sheets. its marketing crap, just like max power ratings.
-
the mayhem will be just fine on that power. but it can take SSOOOO much more. for a 2500w amp, i would do two havocs. they sound amazing. if you got two 2500s, i would get the mayhems.

how did you tighten down that positive terminal? i dont see anything for a tool to grab. -
in that case can i have the amp? Not sure what I am gonna with it yet since it is cosmetically challenged. 2 of the speaker terminals don't tighten to hold the speaker wires in place. The thermal and the protect Led's are broken. Thats what was rattling inside the amp when it arrived. I have the ability to fix those things and i could find a use for it in my house if you just dont want it.

all i did was use your logic. if my example was blatantly obvious to be a joke, why wasnt your example blatantly obvious to be wrong when you said it? oh, and it had everything to do with your question. you just didnt like the answer.

so i can use an AA chaos basket on an AA SMD? they are both AA!

*Edit* lol nvm im slow...this goes like you connect the red to the constant 12v and then ground the black and then connect the blue to the battery constant on the h/u correct? on the Axxess filter, the box tells you one way to wire it. the instructions tell you another way to wire it. i called axxess and they told me one of the two ways. the way they told me was incorrect. when i told them the way they told me didnt work so i hooked it up the other way and it did work, they told me i have it hooked up wrong now and to do it the way they said... the way that didnt work. fuck axxess lol
