  1. In our weightroom we have a crown xti2000 and it jams on 2 jbl MRX515. Gets way louder than we need it. I would suggest the crown any day. If you have 2500 you might as well go with the 4000 but youll have to go with higher handling speakers. Personally i would get something with a 15 in it. Just my 2 cents
  2. the problem is that i only have about 22 inches of clearance front to back and that would have to be a pretty skinny port. Is running the port up on the drivers side a bad idea. I dont wanna end up building this thing and have it sound like shit ya know? And port side wont work since im trimming out the whole box side to side. And dan do you have any pics of your build sub up port up?
  3. So after doing a bunch of sub up port back builds in my jeep i finally am going to try sub up, port up. The cargo area is way to small for port back with the 18 ( since im tryin to keep it right at window line) and the port was basically right against the tailgate. I was wondering what is the best side to do the port on and if tuning needs to be changed since the port will have much less loading. I dont do any metering or anything so i just want it to be loud to me. im looking at around 7 cubes and would like tuning right around 31-32 area. All the stuff im using is in my sig.
  4. To answer your sub question, if you do go forward with the subs, the boston ovals take a lot of power and would be much shorter than a normal 12 but, you could always do the rear center console idea. i did one with 2 sa 8's in a ford crew cab and it got pretty loud off 800 watts on each. if you go up onto the seat im sure youd have enough room for the 12's plus have room under the seats for the amps and battery. i always worry about mounting em forward under the seat since theyre super liable to get kicked. Just my opinion. Your builds always end up nice so im sure you'll figure it out.
  5. i have the same setup in my jeep with factory 130 amp alt and never drop into the 12's unless i stay on it a long time. Big 3 and another battery are a must.
