  1. They are great keep it sharp and dont jack the teeth up on them an they will last along while. I used them in iraq for cutting huge cable to stuff in electrical panels etc.
  2. http://cgi.ebay.com/MB-QUART-FSA-216-6-5-6...93%3A1|294%3A50 Sorry I was off by $0.55 my bad so its $65.55 shipped. if the link doesnt work just go on ebay and type the model..there are tons on there less then $70.00 shipped
  3. mb quart comp set fsa 216 keeps up with 154 db problem free an the set is like $65......very loud tweet is kinda hard, but it can be fixed with crossing features.
  4. damn that looks like a good buy man!!
  5. whats ur box tuned at? whats your friends tuned at? that alone may be the difference in why it bangs harder in his vehicle then yours does...you need to get on a termlab and run a test cd and see where your vehicle peaks at
  6. It would depend on the final ohm load and how imp rise to be honest. DCexplorer can attest to what Im about to say...6-10s on 333watts (clamped real world power) slams very very loudly and thats plenty for daily. I have 6 sonance 10s (2.5 inch coils) and they are by all means way louder then his (dcexplorers) DC audio 18 on a saz3000d....nuff said
  7. Wired at 1.3ohms on the amp...YOU WILL NOT see ANYWHERE near that 450watts per woofer.....after box rise/imp rise your going to be over 2ohm probably closer to 4ohm in all honesty. Get a DMM and AC clamp and get actual power, before you tell people this amp is rated at 3000watts...that doesnt mean the amp does that power....
  8. Meade I know this is way old, but it never got an update...I was just curious if the yellow top is still under the hood? I thought you would have replaced that awhile back with somthing like a smaller 1700stinger/odessey, or all power master? GREAT damn job though, I never get tired of looking at this!!
  9. should be fun man, I will probably be helping steve out on the show.
  10. Matt, I have a 4.0 engine in my 2005 ford explorer, how much will this help until I can get an alt for it?
  11. When did I say it was? If you have the gain low and crank the volume, you are going to get a clipped signal and distortion like a b!tch. If you turn the gain up all the way and turn your volume you, it wont be long till somthing is smoked...hints why you set the volume then the gain to safely play where you like it etc.....so what was your post supposed to show? As far as where you should cross them will depend on your setup, go with what sounds best to you after all its your ride your the one mainly listening to it.
  12. Kenwood DDX 7017 It has tons of options sub out, bass, mid bass, treble etc...
  13. why not do 7 D3100s? 1 under the hood and 6 in the back. Plus the alt your gonna use, should do well.
  14. I will be there, not bringing anything loud, but I will be there. I live in sedalia also man!!
  15. I like that idea as well...2 subs up, 2 subs back, port to the back should wang hard...
  16. I want to say I high passed at 125hz because that seemed to be the sweet spot in my truck, I have 6.5 coax in my rear doors an they do great as well.
  17. off all the trash talk on the mb quarts who has tried them? I have the new (maxxonics owned) 6.5 comp sets in my front doors (1set per doors) and I have 1 set per door of the shallow mount 6.5 coax and they sound damn good and LOUD as hell off my old school fosgate amps!! I admit you have to play around with where to cross them and set the amps up, but thats normal. I can safely say they give me vocals an mid bass at 154db daily on music......
  18. I went from FI BLs to HD3 woofers and I noticed it had a different sound totally. I ditched the FI BLs because they didnt handle the power well at lower Freqs they got hot ( No I didnt clip them) I had everything set up right. I changed the tuning from 34hz to 40hz and the hd3s were louder off the same power via termlab testing. Its up to the person you cant predict whats gonna work for you vs someone else. RD works best for me, its been the loudest in both my vehicles so thats what I run.
