Oh yeah, do you think it could be the subs bottoming out? I mean, I have them wired at 2 ohm and this amp is suppose to be about 1100+RMS. The subs are only 500rms each x 2.

Okay. So I upgrades these wires: -Positive wire from alt to battery -Negative wire to chassis ground -Negative wire to engine block ground -Starter wire to positive on battery Still the same thing. I need some wire look though. The ground from the engine block to the negative was touching the block and got hot which caused shorts. Sucks, I know I'm a noob. But yeah, no difference in my system. It still bottoms out. I guess the next step is getting a new battery. Was thinking about a hc1800 or one of these from Got_Bass89 http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/ind...showtopic=49684

I got back home and hooked it back up and everything is okay now. Would I need to replace that wire too because I have no idea where the heck it leads to.

Same, 3.4L. Dude, I did the big 3 but I just realized no change because my wire to the alternator is actually going to my stupid starter. I'm a fucking idiot. Once my engine cools down I'm going to switch it up to the alternator. I'm suchs a fool.

So I did the big 3 today, still dropping. I'm trying to get a HC1800 now and about 17ft of 0/1 power wire. Alt is too expensive at the moment so I gotta back off that.

Okay so there's the ground from both the chassis and the engine block right? How did you do the wire from the alternator to the battery since I didn't see any pics. Was it a bitch to get the bolt out? For me it looks like it because the AC is right in front blocking it.

Anyone ever do he big 3 in an 00 -up impala? If so, any tips on doing it? I see that there's like 3 wires from both the ground and positive. I've no idea what they are for. Anyway, advice please?

Tomorrow i'm going to do the big 3 and go get another cheap dmm and if i still have voltage drop i.m going to put the soundstream back in until I can cop some 0/1 ppower and ground wire. i read that there are things that take in 0/1 wire and exit into 4gauge or something like that. Any know where i can get something like that?

Question. Should I go ahead and get my 4 10's OR get a new battery? HC1800? Will I be alright if I turn the DB 1/4 of the way and not turn it up so loud or will I still fuck up the amp?

Yeah it does that. At low volumes its all good. I have a cheap DMM I'll have to check it out.

Okay so I just got this Fusion pp-am300010 and took out my Soundstream Picasso PCX1000d and the capacitor I had. Before installing the Fusion, it would hit hard and stay like it. Ever since changing to the Fusion, At low volume levels (under 25), the beat hits good and constant. Once I get past about 26 and up, the beat will hit hard for about 5 seconds then go "flat" as in not hit hard anymore". What could be causing this? Is it extreme voltage drop? Clipping? Should I put the capacitor back in? I currently have 4gauge and am going to do the big 3 tomorrow or this weekend in 0/1 and I have a stock battery.
