  1. Yep it matters, but it's been answered already as to why. But also, if you get batteries that are different type, gel/agm/sla, and that have different ah ratings, that can be an issue too. Cause different types and different capacities charge and discharge at different rates.
  2. The ACTUAL name is browser....it's not an app, it's not a third party browser, it's the oem, built in browser in the Android OS. But I personally use UC Browser 8 on Android and the mobile theme isn't working for me either. Nor on Miren Browser, but it does work on Ninesky Browser.
  3. I think you should do some testing before deciding on what layout to go with cause what works best in one car might work work as well in the next. In most trunk cars sub/port back works best, but if you're gonna compete you'll most likely get better results going sub/port forward and sealed off. If you go that route, make sure you seal off the rear deck too, you don't want any air getting back into the trunk at all.
  4. How do you like the upgrade? It's way faster for sure, with the changes in the layout it's gonna take some getting used to but I like it so far.
  5. Lookin' good....no mobile theme or is it still in the works?
  6. Anyone have his number? I'd like to hit him up about reconing some subs. He doesnt seem active here anymore
  7. The guy is just cutting his teeth, u guys are over complicating things, K.I.S.S.In order to pull that off with good results he'd have to make sure the trunk is completely sealed off, and the rear deck too. Not exactly an easy task for a greenie. Plus you lose some of ur low end that way too. If he's going for numbers it would def be the way to go though, but not for a strictly daily car, IMO. Subs up, port back is kind of iffy too, I wouldnt go that route unless you've done some experimenting and are sure that would be the best setup for your car. That usually works best in suv/hatchback applications, can work in trunks too but again, gotta experiment.
  8. Subs and port firing to the back of the car works the best in most cases in trunk cars. But every car is different so you'll have to experiment with it to see what works best for yours. Tip: If your bass gets noticeably louder with the trunk open compared to when its closed, not good.
  9. Yeah, 4ft3 total after all displacements. The AQ1200 does rated @ 1ohm so you shold get dual 4ohm subs so u can wire them down to 1ohm.As for ur batt and alt....how old is ur batt? If its 3+yrs old I'd suggest replacing it....the alt probably wont be necessary right now, just make sure ur battery is strong, do the Big 3 and run 1/0 wire. The 1/0 is overkill right now but it will allow u to upgrade in the future without having to buy and run power wire all over again. Agreed 100%
  10. This being your first real build, I think the AQ1200 would be perfect. Yes those subs can handle more than rated but that doesnt mean everybody should do it. Kinda like putting me behind the wheel of a Nascar and telling me to drive it 200mph with a track full of other cars.....yeah it can do that but im probably not the best person to do it. U have more than enough room back there for a nice box.....I'd go about 4ft3 and tuned to the low 30's. Have fun!
  11. 1gb can go pretty fast watching video's online, I'd suggest at least the 2gb plan
  12. How would you accomplish that if the sealed portion is on the opposite side of his port?
  13. So the only thing that changed from ur previous setup to this one was the box? I always thought 4th orders should be 2:1....how did u come up with the volume calculations? Seems like you just kinda guessed and hoped for the best. I think your sealed section is way too big, especially since the ideal sealed box for one of those is .85ft3. I know its not what you wanted to hear but I think the box is your issue. Sorry bro
  14. They're pretty nice man, especially for $10. I bought them when they were $20 and was happy....was at Big Lots one day and seen them for $10 so I snatched up about 3 pair of them just in case. Marshmallows Gummys
  15. Just to clarify, i'm talking about the JVC Marshmallows, not the gummys. The Marshmallows use the Comply T-400 tips, super comfortable and block out most of the ambient sound around you.
  16. http://www.meelec.com/MEElectronics_M6P_Stylish_Earphones_p/earphone-m6p-mee.htm Then you can go to Big Lots and pick up a pair of JVC Marshmallows for $10 and jack the ear tips off them and you'll have some nice sounding IEM's that you can wear as long as you want and won't fall out I have this exact setup and love it
  17. I did, and kinda miss it now (the ability to run active) that i'm mixing and matching my mids/highs. Pioneer has some new active decks coming out and i'm considering getting one but I'll have to get my hands on one to see how it is and go from there, which is why I don't just get the Imprint for this deck and call it good. Your xover points for your mids sounds like what I want to do with mine, but cut it off at about 2.5k-3k on the higher end since my tweets can play down to 2.5k. I seen that xover earlier and it's an option, gonna do some more searching around before I decide what I wanna do
  18. Alright, looks like I need to look in to a different xover then. Thanks man
  19. My tweets are about a foot to foot and a half away from each other and my 3 way is going to be mids/highs/sub.Should I get these to cut it off on the high end? http://www.ebay.com/itm/2-FMOD-2500Hz-Low-Pas-Midrange-Electronic-Crossover-USA-/390329421937?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item5ae1725071#ht_2009wt_1396
  20. Considering buying an electronic xover and I've found a nice old school piece that will allow me to set highs/mids/subs but doesn't allow bandpassing the mid. Is that that big of a deal?
