  1. it's all good. someone was bound to say it lol. i think it's a neat vid to watch myself. i wish i was creative like that to make something neat
  2. repost but i agree. very nice work on the case and the vid. both had to take a lot of planning lol
  3. port area also plays a role. the more port area you have, the longer the port needs to be to maintain a frequency tuning of a port that has less port area. the port with less area can be much shorter. also you dont want too much port area or too little port area. general rule of thumb is 12-16 sq inches of port per cubic foot
  4. omg. i couldnt even think of all the songs that would be on that thing. that's beastly lol
  5. i may be thinking of someone else (not decaf), but havent you slowed and altered music then uploaded for others? ...and you're just now asking what a clipped signal looks like?
  6. Torres

    Whats good.

haha that's what i was thinkin. i still got a few hours
  7. i agree with this. i love my iphone...but this phone looks to have some mad potential. i want it to come to t-mobile but if not i may have to switch up phones and plans. if it can compete that is
  8. when i do it in the cold i use $10 halogen lamps i got from wal mart and stick em on there. and mix it a little hotter
  9. dude you and me both! love the song. like the video...i liked how they played red nose in it. that's one of my favorite videos
  10. there's other ways you can clip a signal besides the alternator being big omg i agree. there needs to be a stickied thread that has all the basic questions. i know there's a lot that constantly get asked...i just cant think of many others right now yes the alternator does have a little to do with it. if it cant supply, your voltage could drop horribly (unless you have a voltmeter and monitor it). that is a no no
  11. pretty big talk comin from a sellout doin AOL commercials n shit back a while ago. snoop annoys the shit outta me. dno why...just does.
  12. phones are bad, but i HATE it when people come here and are like wut da fuk is up wit dis shyt in muh box? just type the fucking words out! and save yourself from looking like a ruh-tard and at least *look* like you have an ounce of sense in you. and i totally agree with boon's signature lol
  13. wouldnt feel so special now, would ya? lol
  14. i absolutely LOVE colorados too. i swear i want one as my next car when my explorer dies out. or a dakota i'll figure out the bass part later but that poor, poor truck. i mean it's unique...but...i'd take 2 back seats over that any day

  16. oh snap! you're about there . hell yeah! congrats on that!
  17. i'd leave it open. and from the looks of it, that port is too small. unless that's not built to scale
  18. depends on the car. i'm not toooo familiar with trunk cars. i do believe facing subs in the cabin from the seats sealed from the trunk is one of the loudest ways. andym85 had a pair of 10's like that and it sounded damn good. not to mention practically no rattling. anytime the port shares a side of a box, it's a slot port. the only time you shouldnt check that box is if it has 4 independent sides
  19. more so preference, tho it still will vary from install to install. and some will say you could get phasing issues with one sub close to the port, and one sub further away from the port. only time i would see it mattering is if the port is in the middle and is too thin when it splits. then it'd be better to keep it as one solid port the whole way through. but i have heard of very good results with the port in the middle. tho they were in bigger installs with sub up and port back
  20. it will work for both. the second picture is still considered a slot port. you just have to know where you want to put the port. and if the port bends, that the height gets divided in half. so in that example, if that first box had its port in the middle, it'd go down from 2.5" in the middle, and split to 1.25" across the back wall
  21. it's for as many subs as you want. just gotta make sure the dimensions for the box you put in gives enough airspace for the amount of subs you have.
  22. lol. punch in numbers in the first 3 for box dimensions. put in outer dimensions as the calculator takes away for wood displacement. the next 3, put in port dimensions. just keep in mind that port HEIGHT is the distance from the port wall to the sub wall. i use height as that measurement cuz i'm used to CRX style boxes lol. then put in the length of the port. and then the sub displacement. which is usually around .2 per sub. make it a lil bigger for bracing displacement. the thickness of the wood stays at .75" unless you plan on double layering all the sides. if the port uses at least 1 wall of the box as a side for the port, check the slot port checkbox. if the port bends, check the second one as well. all the information is displayed on the right of the program. EDIT: love your sig!!
  23. that's good. it *might* not be necessary, but when it wouldnt work for people, updating the .NET framework solved that. plus it's good to have period
  24. thanks andy and caddy!
  25. nah not really. read the first post from forevrbumpn http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/ind...?showtopic=1828 just some basic math to get the length of the quarter wave. then curve it as needed to fit in your application. just gotta know some of the specs of the sub is all. FS being the main one, maybe the only one EDIT: ok thanks lol. i couldnt make it out for anything
