I'm pretty sure it has to do with that you wouldn't pay electricity and the car company wouldn't get some of that money... I always thought about something like that for a type of electric portable generator... -
Helo HE834 I would also paint the spokes same color as the truck, leave the rivets and the lip chrome, but that's just me...

x2 I had black suede seats and suede dash in my old bug and it faded into purple...

I usually clean my chrome bumpers with nxt tech wax 2.0, removes water stains, bugs, and keeps them protected...

I usually stick with the site's number for port area cause that way I'll know what port area I need according to tuning freq & sub xmax...in the calc's port area range you hav either smallest or biggest port area...

Usually, the number that the site gives me is usually within the range in the calc, if the box is too small & port area too big I just use the biggest number in that range....always worked for me...

Doesn't hurt to try something new(800,900 series look great!lol), but since you've already had experience with DA, then go with what convinces you best..

Yea, I couldnt complain since they were given to me, but seeing these are pretty much their cheapest subs and how pleased I was with them, I even considered buying some of their 15s, but never got around to it... I say you give them a try and let us know how they work out for you...

One of my friends gave me these and they sounded good to me, nice, tight bass being sealed: http://www.audiovisionelectronic.com/im5/prod5/Subwoofers/enclosures/Al_PBB102.jpg A little while after that, I took them out of that box and put them in a ported enclosure and stuck them in my old 73 vw bug and they POUNDED! They set off a few alarms on only 300w rms..! In other words, I was happy with them..

I'm sure it will, I've built boxes based off that site's calculations with 45*s in the corners & have been very impressed!...Made 10s beat way harder than i thought they would!

No problem!...u might wanna follow up with 1500 grit sandpaper to reduce the sanding marks n decrease the time it would take to shine when buffing...

The paint stripper in a can is good 4 removing paint off metal; it will burn the plastic and make it more of a PITA to sand re-clear...

most of the time it depends on what type of music you listen to....you could tune your enclosure below or above the fs depending on what your taste in bass is... -

The kind that you apply wit a spray gun.(same kind that is applied on the car)...urethane clear coat...

He could use that if he were to just buff them....he wants to remove the old clear coat completely...

You could try 320 or 400-grit sandpaper to remove the old clearcoat and 600-grit wet sandpaper to prep the lights for a new layer of clear coat...one thing though, DON'T use spray paint clear coat, it always ends up cracking the same....
