  1. You should've read the rules that YOU AGREED TO. "what would be louder" threads are against the rules. Wanna know what will be louder? Build both systems and tell us.
  2. I understand completely. But nothing is better than personal experience. If I were local to you to help you, I would. But the best thing for you to possibly do is just go for it. You've already been given advice. Now just go get her built.
  3. Come on dude. I've pretty much given you step by step instruction.
  4. I would pre drill before you do any glueing. And do you know what predrilling is? Find a drill bit a little smaller than the screws you're using. Drill with those. Then use the screws.
  5. Your last thread got locked. What makes you think this one wouldn't? In before Nate
  6. Dry fit the box (no glue) pre drill holes. Glue sides one at a time, clamp the together then fill in predrilled holes with screws.
  7. Why would you use a staple? Use titebond 2 or 3 wood glue and screws.
  8. I remember you. And uh, just so you know, the only "legal" meter position is with the mic on the glass, car sealed up.
  9. So is there anything we can do guys? Just a major inconvenience since I mostly surf the site through the new content search.
  10. i hate 24/7. duh. i was teasing him about using all caps locks. you people are too anal sometimes. even he thought it was funny.
  11. Nice system choice. I'm running 2 mayhem 12's on an aq3500.1. For welding cable check out weldingsupply.com, or check out seller name "coppercableman" on eBay.
  12. How would it be better? The VU-DIN meter measures clipping. Not voltage. And the stinger meter measures voltage. Not clipping.
  13. You know what else is against the rules? Bumping your thread every 20 minutes.
  14. Uhhh you're probably clipping the ever-loving shit out of your subs.
  15. What's your gain set at? Bass boost?
  16. I didn't say buy one. Just stating the huge difference between the 2. The DD-1 has been proven to be exactly right on with a $2,000 dollar o-scope.
  17. No. DD-1's are $150. O-scopes are $700+ hit up Ray at audio innovations of Fresno. He might help ya out.
  18. Gonna be easier to find a DD-1 lol. Oceanside is so cal, right?
  19. I always suggest doing a run of negative from front to rear. But if you can find a really good ground in the back. Then you're good. But on my car, I have a batt ground going to the engine block, then a ground run from front to back.
  20. I would do one run of positive from the front batt to the back. One run of ground wire from the front batt to the back. And one run of positive from the alt to the back.
  21. Wow talk about repost. Lol. A little late bro.
  22. OMG DUDE HAHA COOL STORY MAN.
  23. I hate when people want the car to flex. Please, take some of my flex.
