    Basic training is not bear as hard or scary as it used to be. Do your best at everything and try to be a leader. Not to be better than your peers, but to set yourself up for success when you hit the real Army. Don't know much about that MOS, but the first 9 weeks of basic is the same for everybody.

    All the batteries are resting at 12.8-9. Couple years old, so that seems good.

    Ok, so here's a twist. I thought it was my car not allowing charging over 13.8, WRONG. Yesterday it was charging at 14, and today its charging at 14.2. Checked at the amp, front battery, and rear bank, all the same voltage. I would understand if it is cooler voltage may go up. But, it is a lot hotter today and the voltage is up. Still above 13 full tilt. I'm stumped.

    I was going to offer to do it pretty cheap. But you're a little far from me. The panels and clips on Fords aren't that bad if you decide to save some money and do it yourself. Most of them can be popped off by hand. I can rip out the entire interior of my Mustang in less than an hour.

      Yep. Didn't realize my ECU only allows 13.8 charging, so I need a 7.5k to make power.

      you can always get the boost module,boost up your voltage when you're reving it above 1,000 and chills back to stock 13.8 when your foot is not on the pedal,only sucky part is that your battery light is going to be on forever till u decide to take it out

    I vote for DC Power. With my 270XP, my voltage is 13.8-13.9 (because of my cars computer) and only drops to 13 full tilt with a 5k, 175.4, lights and max a/c turned on.

    So the only thing this changes is I should probably put my batteries on the charger more often.

    Well, thats probably it. I know there's no VCM option for this car. There is no voltage option on my flash tuner, so that won't help. Oh well, as long as i'm staying above 13 volts full tilt, I guess I can't complain.

    Finally checked my voltage today. This morning, idle voltage was only 14.1 with the car cool. This afternoon, idle voltage is 13.8-13.9, car hot. I would think that is bad, right? But drop is very good. Playing music full tilt, lights, fogs, full a/c, and defroster all on, the lowest it dropped was to 13.0. So is it bad that idle voltage is low, even though there is very little drop under load?

    When you turn off the engine, teh oil doesn't suddenly drop to the pan. Oil is thick and coats the parts. Only the first startup of the day is 'bad'. It takes an hour or so for all the oil to head to the pan. So, unless you sit at a redlight for an hour, I think its fine.
