everything flat. That measns bass and treble at '0', not -8 and -4. Leave your gain all the way down. Play the tone you want, and slowly increase the gain until the clip light comes on. Then back it down a notch. Are you using a remote bass knob? Are your speakers hooked up when you are setting the amp? Should not have subs hooked up. Is your car off? Should be off.

Most all meters have some resistance when the leads touch. Take that number from the number you get from the coils. 3.4-1.5=1.9=d2 sub.

DMM leads aren't the problem, its just simple math. You have a d2 sub.

Don't see how you can get it hot on a 3.5k. Mine was on a 7.5k, had some coil rub, and never got warm. You're doing something wrong.

At the show yesterday, best was 141.5 at 33hz. But, the amp I used (a loaner SAZ3000d) is all fucked up on the output side. So, there is probably more in it even as is. New amp and a few changes, should do pretty good numbers.

I get it, thought about it, too. Going to change port length and sub location, test the difference, then try other stuff. Don't want to change too many things at the same time.

The box is pushed all the way back, the collar is an extension to the seat opening so I can seal off the trunk. Shortening the port for sure, need to raise box tune 3-4 hz. I need to figure a way to effectively cover the existing sub opening, to keep the structure strong.

Right now its far back as it can go. However, that collar I added to it creates a 4th order effect and lowers tuning. Can you suggest how I should do that part differently? Don't worry about sealing off? Or??

Going to shorten the port 6 inches and move the box forward to the seat opening. It peaked at 33 set up like it is now. Want to get it to 36 or so.

Amazing? Hardly puts it in perspective. Loud from mid 20's up to ~70-80hz. And the 65hz range is painful LOL. That thing was loud as fuck.

Good turnout, Jeff should have results up within the next couple days. I had a bum amp, that only works when it wants to, and got 4th out of 4 in SS1-2 with a 132.4, but my best of the day was 141.5.
