  1. if I had to do over again, or on the next rebuild..... 1. wish I kept the hole going through to the cab smaller. cut mine the full size of the box. works fine, but could have been smaller cutout. Maybe just the port through the cab? depends on enclosure design..... 2. should have radius'd the corners for the cut out. the boot does NOT like sharp 90degree corners to wrap around. maybe a 2" radius on each corner to help the boot relax more. 3. reinforce the back wall with 1x1 steel square tubing.......mine now flexes like crazy, partially due to the great size of the cutout. 4. bolt the box to the bed/frame rails from the inside of the box. hated some of the brackets people use that are visible from the outside. cleaner and less likely to get jacked....unless they get inside?! brainstorming, will add as they come up these are all the pics I could find. hope something here helps! the boot was sandwiched and siliconed between the 2 layers of 3/4" mdf. I dadoed one side to hold the boot in place
  2. damn bro, going to have to come out this weekend to say what up!!! Truck's not ready, but the busa is....lol. will shoot you a text friday
  3. bet that ws a wake up call huh? not seeing yourself for a week and then looking in a mirror and seeing some furry ass guy looking back at chu - lol pics of fur or it didnt happen- glad your home bro

  5. X2^^^^^ first ride was on a friends 600, my first bike was a 2001 gsx1000r, my second was a 2005 gsx1000r, and now I ride a 2006 hayabusa gsx1300r. really think you will get bored with the smaller bike....
  6. Man, hate seeing my little buddy like this....get well bro! want me to sneak you in a burger? lol
  7. he's doing a center port where it splits off at the back wall and goes both ways. kinda like 2 separate enclosures joined at the port. a port like this so the center needs to be the width of both ports end widths combined
  8. no. you do not keep the same port width. the center is the port for both sides of the enclosure. so the two ends that bend in will be half of the center. so say you have a center port thats 10" wide, the turning points will then be 5" each.just act as if there was an invisible wall dividing the center part of the port. yes, still measure in the center of the port to get your length. and your last question, without a drawing of what exactly your asking, dont want to mislead you by assuming what you need. just measure down the center of the port and stop the port at the length you want, in your case 22" hope it helps
  9. whoa there tiger....think you might be on to something..........if you need me, will be in the you tube area researching casting molds...
  10. the newer ones are just different enough. they have a sharper, narrower spoke rather than the rounded ones. look above at the pics. maybe just being picky, but would rather find the matching ones. (thinking I am going to paint them anyways, to match the vinyl, but trying to hold out for the right ones:)
