  1. I didn't like the beta at all... I haven't been happy with BF is a long ass time. I'm sure I'll wind up saying fux it and get it anyways, but I don't have high hopes. I'm opposite of this. Never played a Battlefield game other than a tiny bit of Bad Company 2 multiplayer on a friend's Xbox 360. Picked this up last night at Best Buy for my computer and I love it. Maxed out all the graphics and the game looks amazing. Runs smooth as butter too. I'm a big fan of the campaign so far. I'll see how I like multiplayer once I finish this thing up.
  2. Your subwoofer amp gets a stronger input so it doesn't have to be turned up as high to meet the same output. Allows for more power with a lowered chance for clipping because you're not stressing the amp as hard.
  3. This is what I was concerned about. The daily aspect. IDK if Jacob will answer because I know he rates them low for a reason. I figure 1200-1500 is fine for one of them daily. I'll probably worry about adding a second one when my ears get hungry. It's a mid-size truck (2001 Isuzu Trooper) so it won't be hard to fill that cabin with sound.
  4. Hmm. I like the sound of that. The reason I'm leaning toward the 2200D is because if one sub can't take the full 2200+ daily I'll be able to turn it down and then add another sub later on.
  5. I plan on avoiding every possible chance of clipping but that's an awesome thing to hear. Looks like Sundown may be the way to go.
  6. I hate being the one to ask this question. Please don't give me a "if you have to ask..." I'm looking into subs and amps for my truck for this coming spring. I've been a huge fan of Fi's SSD and Q series woofers, but I've now come across the SA series and I'm amazed by these woofers. Solid design, great cooling, and some killer power handling for a "600" watt woofer. Ric's review of the 15" that Jacob sent him was phenomenal. I'm seriously leaning toward AudioQue for my sub amp. Numerous people have stated the SA series will take double rated power. I'm wondering how far past double it will go. I'm not trying to be like Ric here and throw massive amounts of power at it. But will it reliably take something like an AQ2200D daily? If not I can always lower it down. From what I've seen a loaded SSD will take around 1500 clean watts daily. Will the SA series do the same with clean, daily power?
  7. The 8300ub is the shit! I've installed 2 of them and unit is awesome. I picked up a 7300BT for my truck as a placeholder from a friend and it's still a nice unit but I prefer the 4v outputs and the display of the 8300
  8. Sexy little woofer. I've been a little out of the loop on these guys. Whats the rated power handling on them? I'm assuming less than the SA series?
  9. This is what I was thinking too. I'm really hoping you didn't have 2 12's in a 2 cube box...
  10. If you feed it clean power (upgrade electrical to keep your battery voltage up and set gains properly) the SA-15's will take over 1000 watts with no issues. If you're looking for a single monster woofer, something like a Fi BL 15" or a DC level 4 or XL would bang quite nicely on more power (1500-2000+ watts). The Fi woofer can be ordered straight off their site for a tad over $300. I've never run DC so I have no idea what the level 4's and XL's go for. If you've got the room for a proper box, the 2 SA-15's on the same power will be louder. If you've got room for either a single 15 or 2 12's, then the call's up to your brother.
  11. This is step 1 for most people. Measure out the dimensions of your trunk and post them here. For 2 12's, you'll want 3-4 cubic feet of net internal space. For 2 15's, you'll be looking at 6-8 net cubic feet. Many people on this forum do box designs (myself included) so once dimensions are posted, a design can be made. The internal space of the trunk is going to determine how the box will be designed and what woofers will fit.
  12. I know nobody else asked, so I'll make sure the question gets across to the OP. Is there sufficient space in the vehicle to house 2 SA-15's in a properly designed and tuned enclosure?

  14. My flash drive: Basshunter Breaking benjamin Deadmau5 Disturbed DJ Earworm Ephixa Evanescence Immortal Technique Skrillex Slipknot Tech N9ne Also, if you guys haven't seen them, I picked one of these suckers up today. Grabbed the 16GB version. It's amazing if you want to use a flash drive instead of iPod for your car but don't want the drive sticking out the front asking to get snapped off. Mine's being loaded with the music above as I type this.
  15. I do installs for a few friends as they feel the need to upgrade and everything and I never charge labor (just food and such) and they're always baffled by the cost of audio equipment. Cheapest reasonable install for a deck, wiring, amp, box, and sub I've ever pulled off was like $550, and that didn't include new door speakers or door amp. Just ran them off the headunit. Audio's expensive if you want good stuff and people don't realize it. Also, the tint guy is a dick.
  16. Darvex has a good selection of fuses. You also get a 5% discount as a member here if you use "meade" as a coupon code at checkout http://www.darvex.com/store/pc/ANL-Silver-c59.htm
  17. I love me some Tech N9ne. His collabos are awesome. The whole Sickology 101 album was sweetness
  18. I can't calculate it. I don't know the width of the bottom indented part. It's not labeled directly and I can't figure it out because the width of the 2 side indents aren't labeled either.
  19. Looks awesome. Could use a little more polish but it looks like it's just been unveiled so it's brand brand new. Definitely something I'd love to have. Nice find man!
  20. I came into this thread to see all the haters comment and all I got to read was Steve talking about beastiality. Those DC amps sure are monsters though. Massive numbers at 2-3 ohms. Good testing and awesome equipment.
  21. The iPhone 4 and 4s will both run on 4g network speeds, but do not display the 4G icon due to the lack of 4g coverage by AT&T and Verizon , the iPhone 5 will be a complete 4g phone http://www.freep.com/article/20111013/COL41/110130500/Mark-W-Smith-Which-iPhone-4S-should-you-get- http://www.apple.com/iphone/features/ Only the 4S has the HSDPA antenna, so the iPhone 4 won't benefit from the increased speed. And do keep in mind the numbers are theoretical maximums. Verizon threw over 100mb/s through their 4G LTE network, but due to many users's usage the most you'll reliably get out of it is ~20mb/s. It's faster 3G, but it's still 3G
  22. No 4G for Apple lovers yet. Pretty much the whole reason many people were waiting for the iPhone 5 was 4G and a new shell for the phone. And they got the 4S, which is just playing catch-up to Android at this point. It's a great phone, but it's not as revolutionary as the first iPhones were.
  23. This reminds me of an old post I read on here. Some of you may remember FordRedneck302 (I think that was his name?) He threw a small Sony Xplod amp with gains and bass boost wide open on a pretty beefy sub (don't remember the exact model). He said the sub got warm but didn't get smelly. If the coil on the woofer is designed to handle a certain high wattage of AC power, it can usually handle some DC power without totally frying. Clipping is still bad, but it's definitely possible to send a square wave at a voice coil and have it survive if it's a strong enough coil and not too much power.
