Sub back port back will most likely get the loudest. And with 1200 watts you should get into the low to mid 30s. You and maby try a diferent sub to see what you like. With car audio, everything is realy trial and error. Just mess around with your setup untill it does what you want.

What's he doing for electrical? Because a 3 kw system will need a ho alternator. No amount of bateries will fix that. He will have SERIOUS problems with his car(more than just electrical) if he dose not get an alt that can support 3kw.
