  1. didnt know i had an FB thread lol shit, the OP of this filed a charge back against me and ran off with my HU lmao
  2. gonna need at least 1 bigger battery in the back, no matter which way you end up going
  3. Single d3100 will be more than enough I run my saz3500 @.5 with just an xs d2700 in back (1 model lower than d3100) and I never go below about 13.5 at full tilt
  4. in the proper box you could either: 1) add a second AQ1200d or 2) upgrade to an AQ 2200d
  5. Well the newer RE sis aren't anything special by any means compared to their older woofers And ascendant audio woofers are great, only heard havocs and Mayhems though, which neither are really in your budget
  6. I'd run some sa12s then, I played mine down to about 25hz on 3500w to the pair
  7. Both sets of woofers and the obsidians I recommended will all go good on that amp and fits your budget IMO I'd run the obsidians cause 1) it'd save you some cash over the SA12s, especially on that power Don't think you could go wrong with te skars but I've never worked with them hands on, where as I've done several sa12 installs and one with the obsidians
  8. Can't really go wrong with either of those woofers, can even add obsidians to that list What's your budget?
  9. I'll just make it simple Take a 10" funky pup, compare the motor to a 10" AQ HDC3(picked this cause has a good Motor size to basket ratio) Just look at it, tell me what one will take the power better
  10. Well the only reason people even call then beefy cause well, if you look at the basket compared to how large the motor is, looks huge It has nothing to do with them being "beefy" for people to run them, has to do with the woofer it's self, a "beefy" woofer doesn't have a complete advantage over any other woofer it depends on how it's used Your question would be 10x easier if a) you worded it better, gave us the woofers you were looking at
  11. Uhh... Beefy subs? people call them beefy 99% of the time cause of the motor size.. I don't get the question
  12. The XL and lvl 4 are completely different motors, with different specs, however the XL does have the lvl 5 coils an spiders but they won't go too well in the same enclosure
  13. I deeply apologize to you and the others from that thread. I'll see what I can do with those soon. I just hadn't been really feeling any "inspiration" for them. I'll try to get at least something out to you guys soon. its cool, ill even throw you a few bucks if you'd like as well, no issue with that one
  14. pics would be useful so we could tell you what we think could possibly be the problem (thought it still could be something else) were you just playing normally when it blew?
  15. actually, ive worked with both woofers, lvl 4s being in my own install, and the REs with a local install i did so looks to me i have experience with BOTH subs in question now dont it? your right, i had shit luck with my DCs, but wouldnt put them down.. did a full install a few months ago, i recommended dc woofers for it and thats what was used, so my experience with DC doesnt effect any present and/or future choices.. but you can make all the assumptions youd like
  16. can you read? he didnt once say what one is better he asked for recommendations on which to go with in this case, id go with the RE XXXs Can you think logically? Any time there is a this or that that is a VS thread. To the people saying no VS threads, just report it and don't post. You're not changing anything, just further encouraging this nonsense. The reason threads like these are frowned upon is you literally are asking a bunch of fanguys who, as proven here, recommended products for no reason other than they have the same brand. No information has been provided as to enclosure, use, goal, power, etc. So people who don't have an inkling to the setup, or the experience of any specific equipment in applicable setups provide suggestions that are shortsighted and biased. Not being a rentamod, you have to post in order to report on my mobile theme, and I figured might as well share some of my observations. where do i run RE?

  18. you were fed a bunch of BS lol
  19. for about 3 moths how long is that did you turn on a light well reason i sold em cause i upgraded to the Z12s, finals were coming so i hadda snatch up a pair, they were ran in a different install on a saz3000d for like 2 months or so until just recently, the person i sold em to sold em to another friend of mine, who is about to be running them in his install.. and the woofers are still fine over all, woofers are about 7 months old
  20. Well I ran my sa12s on a saz3500 @ .5 daily tunes to 35hz for about 3 moths before I sold them, they ate that power so I'm sure the 15s would like it just as much
  21. every "problem" you see is normal, nothing to be worried about as the engine warms, voltage can tend to decrease on a fresh start my voltage is about 14.8, when i start driving and the engine is warmed up itll fall and wont go much more than 14.3/14.4, and if im pulling a lot of current playing my system it wont go much above 14.2 for a while car off im at 12.9v, when i turn to acc i drop to about 12.4
  22. Is the vent in your trunk blocked or sealed?
  23. any updates on the other free youtube designs from the last thread?
