  1. Yea bro box build, especially for a higher powered woofer is just about the most important piece of the puzzle. It can be the deciding factor between an awful setup and an incredible setup. If u need any help w/ box design and what not, just toss me a PM.
  2. Basically seems like one of the worst ideas i've ever heard of. The vibrations alone would be terrible for an amp and more than likely would knock something loose on the board. And I highly doubt it has been done thousands of times, I've seen tons of setups of the years and none of them were like that.
  3. He's a cutie, you should be a proud daddy. Everytime i see a picture of a baby my little nephew pops into my head.
  4. So you're ranting about shelling out an additional $24 yearly and not being able to buy ammo... Damn bro you must have quite the good life then.
  5. Looks good man, seems pretty loud too.. But really those stickers?? lol
  6. That is the route I'll be going with if I get the balls to take the back seats out of my DD or if i can pick something up locally for cheap.
  7. Your problem only problem with the setup is the box, seems to be to small for the subs. Sucks that you can't fit a proper ported enclosure in that trunk, because you would be blown away at the difference from sealed. But I'd step it up to like 2.5ft3 per sub sealed, if u can't fit that then i would try to go no lower than like 2.25ft3. If u figure out some way to go ported i wouldn't go any lower than like 3.4ft3 per woofer. My buddy did a 145.0 @ dash all sealed up w/ 2 15" CVRs, Hifonics BX2005D, ported 7.4 @ 35hz w/ 90 in2 of port in a 91 Blazer. For a $350 setup it was pretty nasty.
  8. Just have you lvl4s reconed to 15s, will only cost like 150 or so per sub and you will see a significant gain. Port through the rear deck as mentioned if ur planning on keeping it in the trunk. If u wanna run a 1/2 wall setup where the backseats used to be then I'd recone them to 18s. Try that out first, will be a small investment(instead of 1700) and you should see very significant gains by simply gaining that much more port area. In the 15s case it would be 1.5 times as much as the 12s would be and for 18s its 2.25 times as much. 226.08 - 2 12s 353.25 - 2 15s 508.68 - 2 18s
  9. Good luck guys, I wanna see a 62+ bassrace out of you guys this weekend.
  10. 2 12" LVL4xls off a SAZ-4500D would be ideal for sure... I wouldn't resort to LVL5s unless ur gonna be running 3k or more to them. I would bet my left nut that off the power I listed 4xls would be louder than LVL5s without question. 2 12 LVL4xls in an enclosure like 4.75ft3 @ 35hz w/ a single 8" aero should just be nasty for daily off the 4500D.
  11. Like 6.5ft3 @ 34hz w/ 85 in2 of port or go w/ 2 6" or 1 8" aeroport. You could decrease the port area if u do choose to go that route. Aeros have been proven for the most part to be louder than slot ports.
  12. Another satisfied customer from DC... So that score was from an AC 180?? What are the box specs?? With the right box setups, I could see much higher scores than what you're currently doing. In that SUV w/ 18" LVL4xl + 3k i could easily see a 145+ on TL and that's in a daily enclosure IMO. My lil brother has the same SUV, but a 98 and we got sum big scores out of it without a huge setup.
  13. Too much stuff, prolli like $15k worth, that I've bought/traded for over the past 8 years. The majority is up north in my parents basement, collecting dust lol. I have a shitload of Pioneer/Memphis/Orion/American Bass gear up there, a shop was closing down and i bought ALOT of equipment for like 80% or more off original price. But if/when i do sell it off, I'm gonna make a huge profit. Plus I had just gotten my tax return back at the time, so i had plenty of expendable cash. Here's my list - 5 or 6 Alpine/Pioneer HUs, most are the higher models. 6 sets of BNIB RF Power Components 4 6.5"/ 2 5.25" (Got them off ebay for $115 a set, BNIB like $300+. Bought 12 sets, sold 4 for $250 each locally... I run 2 in my Expo) Memphis mids, i think 8"(don't remember model) 2 sets 6.5" Pioneer Rev Components (yellow cone) Bunch of Audio Art tweets, like 4+ years old but are incredible sounding. 15" Pioneer W8102SPL 2 12" Pioneer 3004spl 2 12" AB VFL 2 15" AB VFL 2 15" Memphis Mojo, old 4 spoke basket 15" AA Brahma MkII 15" Kicker L7, silver cone 15" Alpine Type-R 15" RE SX 12" DD9512f 4hp motor Memphis 4kw and 5 channel Belle RF T30001bd Orion 2500D RF 1501bd 2 AB VFL150.1 gold case(my favorite amps of all time, use to run one @ .33 ohms daily) 2 AB SQ 4 channel(dont know model #) Orion HCCA 4 channel(don't know model #) Old RF 25 to life 2 200ft spools of 10ga AB wire 2 50ft spool of 1/0 AB wire 2 spools of 2/0 super flex welding wire, 100ft each(Got these @ forclosure sale for a metal works shop, $35 per spool lol) This is all I have listed on my computer, but i know there is more that i can't think of. Most of the other stuff is cheaper subs/speaker/amps/etc. I buy alot of it when i see sum super deals or i wouldn't have all this shit laying around. If anybody is really interested in any of it, just let me know and maybe we can work something out for it.
  14. I've had that song for awhile now and is prolli one of my favorites out now.
  15. DAT 2500.1, SounDigital 3000.1, AQ 3500D, Sundown SAZ-3000D, Audiopipe A3000D, etc... Many amps out there that will fit your needs, all depends on what you're trying to spend. Btw do you have the electrical to back up 3k+ daily??
  16. Mad ass skills?? Do you know something about steve that we already don't I'd say Steve is somewhat of an innovator in the way he has put himself out there to people not generally associated with the CA world via his videos. He is sort of an ambassador for the sport and hobby that we all love, whether we like it or not. As far as builds are concerned I wouldn't say he is an innovator because there are many other established competitors that did come before him, where I'm sure he learned from and gained ideas from. Which we all have, none of us have entered the CA world on top of the game. We all owe the success in the CA world to people like Alma Gates and similar people who really made it what it is today. And if u don't know who Alma Gates is, do sum research
  17. Very nice install, high quality work for sure. The Gucci print is a little over the top for my taste, but nice work regardless. I wonder what a cop would say if he got pulled over and saw the screen in the steering wheel.
  18. These ones are good amps, but the previous clarion model that this one followed was a little bit better.
  19. God damn... Micks van is insane to say the least, heard it at finals last years and saw him pull a 160+ bassrace after he red lighted.
