  1. Been playing this nonstop. Not bassy, just real. name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src=" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>"> name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src=" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="425" height="350">
  2. Bet he wasn't laughing about the letter that landed on his desk the next day
  3. I'm looking for a relatively inexpensive pair of powered studio monitors or speakers...stuff by M-Audio, etc. They'll be part of a hybrid home/car audio setup I'm putting together in my room. Show me what ya got!
  4. It's definitely possible...just not with the things you listed.
  5. Computer hardware engineering dude...and I'm still in college so cut me some slack. I don't build these computers for a living if that's what you thought. Macs are legitimate computers and I have no problem modifying them. I just wish I had digital pics of my G3 iMac with cold cathodes and color-changing power LED. Just calm it down.
  6. Even though a 32-bit OS can only see something like 3.5GB of memory, the other .5GB is still used for background processes. Just FYI
  7. Yeah, really the only shortcoming of my rig is hard drive space and the aging 8800GTX. Other than that, it kinda laughs at me...
  8. Damn dude you had to upstage me with those specs! Nah it's all good...I want an i7 but i5 is more my budget range. EVGA X58s are nice as hell too...good stuff you have there.
  9. Before going to upgrade the memory, I'd download a little program called CPU-Z from cpuid.com. That'll let you (and us) know exactly what type of memory your computer has, so you know what to upgrade with. Moving from 2GB to 4GB is a big difference, especially if you're running Vista or Windows 7. It won't be difficult at all either. For the $50 after rebate I'd say that card is fine for running your TV at 720p. DVI and HDMI are pretty much the same as the video signal goes, so that 30ft cable you got will work fine. If you wanted to run audio through your TV you might want to go through HDMI, because that carries both digital video and audio. (I'm not sure on how to make that work though - I would just run video and audio in separate cables to the TV if I were in your situation)
  10. Haha go for it...pics would be helpful too. If anything, this will inspire some people to try building a rig of their own.
  11. I had the 3000+ up to 2.55 on air for 24/7 use, it must have been an amazing sample. I booted it at 2.7 and 2.8 but those weren't stable for long. Current rig is as follows: CPU: Intel E8500 @ 4.13GHz (stock 3.16GHz) Motherboard: ASUS P5Q Pro Memory: 4GB Corsair Dominator @ 1100MHz GPU: XFX 8800GTX (kickin' it old school I know) Sound: ASUS Xonar D1 Hard drive 1: 160GB Western Digital Hard drive 2: OCZ Core V2 30GB SSD (this thing screams) PSU: Silverstone Strider 700W Optical: Samsung 22x DVD burner (has lightscribe, barely use that though) Case: Antec 900 w/all Cooler Master LED fans Monitor: Acer 22" widescreen (5ms, 1680x1050)
  12. Thanks, yeah the little Silverstone SG01 is really light. That one actually has fans with blue LEDs that turn orange once it reaches a certain temperature inside. It's neat stuff.
  13. Hey guys, just wanted to share a pic or two of all the PCs I've messed with. Working on Computer Hardware Engineering in school, so I guess it kinda makes sense huh? I'll start it off with my Apple Powermac G4...swapped the CPU, video card, DVD drive, almost everything out with better stuff. Also painted it Dodge Inferno Red. Next is my personal PC from a few years ago...acrylic case, AMD 3000+ single core with some nuts overclocking. It was beautiful haha And a small form factor PC I built for my Dad to run at the front desk of his office: And my current rig (pride and joy right here...humming along at a cool 4.13GHz) Let me know what ya think
  14. I like it. I have yet to paint the inside of my Antec 900 black, but I'll get to it one of these days. Nice job on the wire sleeving - it's a nice touch, especially on PSUs that don't have sleeved cables.
  15. This isn't true...Corsair is a memory manufacturer and Antec has been in the PSU business since before you were born.
  16. I bought a Kicker KX3 from him maybe 1.5 weeks ago and don't have a ship notification. I'm not too worried, just I'd like to know if anyone has dealt with him before. Thanks!
  17. Perfect test for my new headphones. I bought some Sennheiser HD212 Pros...cranking the thunderstorm recording is insane
  18. Yeah, it seems like you'd have to do something to get this to really tear a car apart. Still an amazing song IMO...Jeezy addresses some deep stuff
  19. God DAMN HAHA I love in the 3rd pic down, the lil kid in the background is like oshit please do not eat me
  20. So the sound is pretty bad right away? What about playing like youtube vids and such?
  21. If it occurs in more than one program and takes a little while to happen, then I'm 99% sure it's hardware. And you said you're using built in sound, so it wouldn't surprise me if the audio chipset on your motherboard is shot. Yeah, the make/model of your motherboard would be useful here...and I'm pretty sure getting a $30 internal PCI sound card would fix this. If you really wanted you could use an external USB one but that's usually if your budget is really tight.
  22. If there's a chip taken out of the motor I would PM Rusty and arrange a return shipment... EDIT: My bad...kinda jumped the gun here. Pics of what exactly happened will help. Sorry haha got a lil excited
  23. Right off the bat I don't think you'll find a lvl 2 in an 18.
  24. I put this in my thread about the Cat/Subwoofer vid but it really deserves one of its own. Spike Lee is the man. (clip is from Bamboozled, one of his movies) name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src=" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="560" height="340"></embed></object>"> name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src=" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="560" height="340"></embed></object>" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="425" height="350">cheers
