    Subwoofers will only take the power given to them. It will not hurt the subs or amp if the gains are set correctly. Subwoofers will not try and pull more power out of the amp itself, the amp will only deliver the power it can with the given electrical setup.

    Thats awesome that there is almost 40k members, i imagine roughly 8-10k are spammers, got the hammer, or dont even come on here anymore though. Overall its a great place to see different peoples creative designs/builds, all the off-topic epicness and fails, all the roof brace breaking and hair trick videos, and last but not least an awesome place to learn something new almost everyday.

    Players voted for the new CBA, will recertify by Wednesday. Training Camps start on Wed, with the last 2 teams starting by the weekend. Oh it feels good to know we will all have football to watch this fall/winter.

    Do the Big 3, Ditch the cap, get urself a good battery for the back, hell if you want get one for the front too. examples XS, Stinger, Kinetik to name a few. Run a 0/1 ga line from front batt to back batt, 2 if you plan on going bigger in the future.

    They had D1s in the silver 04 series. Hmm... Learning something new everyday.

    Solo X-s only come in d4 and d2 ohm options there are no d1 ohm voice coil X's. I dont think Kicker has even ever made a D1 VC.

    Technicly speaking the 18 should be louder than the 12 due to having more cone area.

    Not to deter you away from the X , but unless ur getting it for a really cheap price and i mean CHEAP it'd probly suit you to find something else that is truthfully better and new. Coming from an previous owner of that brand of sub.

    Yes, nothing changed with them they just changed in color from the 04 model (silver/grey) to the 07 model (black)

    Sounds like the spot where you had ur rcas pluged in the back of ur HU or amp is screwed up. by what u said above

    I remember when i put brand new rca's in my ride my speakers would play tehn cut out, hit a bump they would play then cut out. Had a friend go back there and wiggle the rca's turns out that was the problem, they would'nt fit snug on there. Took the rcas back to the shop and they gave me credit that i turned around and used lol.
