  1. What would you recommend to adjust accordingly? The subs really only need 1.75 ported each.
  2. Hey guys, I am working on designing a new enclosure for a pair of 12's. Total displacement is .47 of the enclosure for subs and angles. The specs are 36" W x 20" D x 13.5" H I was thinking 2- 4"x 16" aeroports dead center in the enclosure. According to my math, tuning should be around 30hz. If someone could assist me in this that would be great as I dont have a computer so I cant use torres' box calculater as I am on mobile! Thanks guys Mike
  3. Not bass related, but I had it on my old Mustang! MLFHNTR- milf hunter
  4. A lot has to do with how solid the truck is! Does it have all the sheet metal? Condition of what chrome and glass (windows) is on the truck? I can say no doubt you could easily double what you paid, just need to find the right buyer. I would put it on Ebay with a reserve around $2500, and see what happens. Truck looks pretty solid from the pics, original color as well, which helps in selling older collectibles and projects, cause people dont have to guess on if it had multiple paint jobs or not. If I didnt have so many projects in waiting I would definately be interested, but I have 2 bikes and a race car to finish. Good luck on the sell, it wont be easy.
  5. Looking good!!! Don knows his stuff when it comes down to deadener, I will always trust his words over anyone else!!
  6. I say, go for it! Make multiples of different styles, configurations, etc. Showcase your work, and see where it goes. Go to any steel/aluminum jobber, and go through the scrap bin, you can normally get good stuff for cheap!
  7. Nice old Duster, I have always been a fan of old Mopar! Looks like a good start! Your car seriously reminds me of Happy Gilmore! Now I have the song Tuesday's Gone, by Lynard Skynard in my head!
  8. If you were to take the pos from one terminal and connect it to the neg of the other terminal and the run the open pos and neg to the amp, your sub would be wired in series making it 4 ohms. Running the amp bridged would also be at 4 ohms. So you should be fine.
  9. Ill probably have to say a pair of really good friends of mine who have guided me in the direction I have had most success in. Scott Massengill- 20+ years in the business, Owner of Onyx Mobile Audio. Rob McDowell- 20+ years in the business, easily the best wiring and fabricator I have personally met and worked alongside of. the list continues to grow of people I will turn to for guidance, but I am able to repay them with my knowledge of fabrication.
  10. What insurance? Cause when my P71 Crown Vic was t-boned, it got totalled, they gave me the option to buy it back, for like $300, & they just took it out of the money given to me for it being totalled and it had a salvaged title! I took my sounds out, and drove it to the junk yard, where I got $450 for it!
  11. I didnt think they could keep your sounds bro! What kind of bullshit is that!? Sorry to hear bro!
  12. They are x = -2.8464 , -.733, .812, 2.87, 7.396. Here are some answers that my brother who's an engineering major at Purdue!
  13. Yeah the power to weight, plus having 50/50 weight distribution. Gonna be awesome. Look at the Lotus Elise, turbo'd I4, light weight, moderate power, but handles like its on rails. Oh and N8, Supras are staight 6's not V6, just clarifying! But are fucking sick how strong and powerful they are!
  14. Post some pics of the roll pan and tailgate area of the truck, I can then give you some ideas!
  15. I used to drive through the parking garages in downtown Chicago, with my old race car! Nothing like large small block turbo car with a 4" dump out the front valance. Usually got a lot with that! But my first with a stereo.........shit.........lemme think.........hmmmmmmmm............ok....got it! I had a 2 15" SSNW setup did mid 50's but never drove with it up completely, but demo'd at my highschool graduation set off 7 that were within a 10 spot radius!
  16. Yeah the amp is a beast, works like a champ!
  17. Ok so I went out disconnected the remote wire. Fans stayed on. I waited about 10 min, went back out fans are still on. It may be what Blue said, but still confusing!
  18. I hadnt even turned the stereo on today, but I think I may have it wired to an accessory wire and not ignition, so if I unlock the car with my keyless, it may turn the fans on.
  19. Yeah, im gonna do that after I eat! Just a pain moving the box around in the trunk, it fits pretty snug!
  20. if youre talking external power, I am using input adapters for 1/0 to 4 gauge. Im thinking its an internal issue, but really dont want to open it up!
  21. The fans are built in to the amp! Exhaust Input
  22. So my remote wire could be in the wrong location?
