  1. Don't judge, lol. Hey daddy by usher, shit pounds.
  2. If you already have your mind set on buying a pre fab, then just compare prices. See what it would cost to order one with shipping, then see how much one is at your local audio store.
  3. sorry for your loss man, i know its rough. i wish you and your family the best.
  4. in order to run 3-4k, you're going to need the big three, an alt, and a couple agm deep cycle batteries. as far as subs go, look into dc sound lab, digital designs, and t3, just to name a few. there are tons of different companies that make amps that do 3-4k rms; digital designs, audioque, sundown, dc sound lab, stetsom (maybe), and soundigital. however, those are also just a few companies. welcome to the forum by the way. just hang out and research, its amazing how much you can learn from the SMD community.
  5. if they're dvc's, that would give you a 1 ohm load on each amp. i know the aq1200d is 1 ohm stable, im not too sure about the kicker 750 though. as far as the y splitter, i would just do what the others said and get a processor.
  6. what sub(s) are you going to be running? what config. are the voice coils? whats your electrical like?
  7. www.audioque.com
  8. you need to put in your woofer displacement. for the aero ports, just put in how many you're going to use, the diameter of said aero ports, and the length. just mess with them until you get the tuning you want.
  9. injuries definitely suck, was in the knee for your slide foot?
  10. just curious to see if there are any competitive bowlers in the SMD family. if you are, list what equipment you use, your average, and your high game scratch. my average is 196. im throwing a hammer jigsaw trap, hammer black widow, and a hammer power diesel. dexter sst6 shoes ftw. i have a high game of 296.
  11. yes, knukoncepts makes some of the best wire out there.
  12. No pictures, but gas is 3.79 here in alaska
  13. My jvc has a front USB port and it works great with my iPod touch. I'm running the kdr-600. Edit: it charges my iPod as well.
  14. you should be okay, but adding another battery when you can afford it wouldnt hurt. im running an aq1200d on stock electrical with an 105 amp alt.
  15. get a steam machine, and steam it like you were taking off wallpaper.
  16. i too live in alaska, and havent had a problem yet. all you need to do is warm up the sub, like posted above. i like to warm my sub up while im warming my car up.
  17. good idea. that way you know you dont have any trunk rattle, and it'll sound better and louder inside.
  18. i would just deaden the whole thing. only because with all the vibration and the resonance of sheet metal, its probably going to find somewhere to rattle. two layers should do the trick, just do the entire lid and what you can inside the trunk.
  19. Download the Torres box calculator, put in all your measurements for the box and port and it will give you your box tuning
  20. bigger box = under rms, smaller box = over rms.
