XS Power + 320amp alt
Nathan @ XSpower replied to CarbonCone's topic in XS Power Batteries / Chargers! (and other stuff too)
The alternator amperage doesn't have anything to do with deciding how many batteries you need. The alternator will only put out what charge voltage the battery and system needs and requires. The pull of the system decides what alternator and battery power you need. 6000rms for comps you will need more than 1 D3100 and either of those alts to keep the voltage up. -

Slight Confusion

The D4700 is a brand new model that will be shipping mid December. That is why you didn't hear about it back in Feb. D4700 will be around $249.99 and the D3400 is usually around $259.99. Any of our dealers can take care of you. -
Load test request
Nathan @ XSpower replied to SnowDrifter's topic in XS Power Batteries / Chargers! (and other stuff too)
Yes, This is in the works, but it will be a little down the road. Right now is the busiest time of the year for us. We just came back from SEMA, then have PRI in Orlando and then IMIS in Indy the next weekend. Then we have CES just after the first of the year. Logistics, planning, and getting ready for the shows takes up most of the time now. Add in the Holidays and the increased sales in the end of Nov and Dec and we are running ragged right now. I would expect them to be ready and posted around the middle to end of December. Can do this, but the results would look skewed, because with a load test you do not have any charge voltage/amperage coming in from an alternator like you do in a mobile audio system. Like above any videos we do right now will be delayed until the middle to end of December. I do have a few different types of videos lined up and planned out though. Should be some interesting and educational results that will help people make a decision on which battery best meets their needs. Just takes time and I don't have a lot of that right now.........lol -

VCM question

Will not work with Jeep models. -
Never heard of anything like that. The computer will see the battery and sense the voltage of the battery. If the battery is discharged, then it will trigger the alternator to increase the charge current. If the computer senses the battery is charged, then it will decrease the charge current. Could always call a local dealer and ask them. Depending on the model you have we will probably have a stock size battery that will fit under the hood around mid Dec.

Ok Finals are done and everything is going toward 2013! Nominate who you think was the top competitor for 2012. With your nomination give a reason why he/she should be the 2012 competitor of the year. They can be in IASCA, dB Drag, MECA, MWSPL, or any other competition group. Things to think about would be number of shows attended, points earned, finals invitations, records, championships won, and most importantly being a good advocate for growing car audio! Lets see how many nominations we can get and the reasons for the nominations. This is not meant to be a place to spread the BS and Drama, so lets keep this fun and recognize those that stood out for 2012! Go to our Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/xspower and make your nominations. Give us a "Like" also if you can.

battery suggestion
Nathan @ XSpower replied to Charles Stites's topic in XS Power Batteries / Chargers! (and other stuff too)
With a 200 amp alt and that system you really shouldn't need a secondary battery. What is your voltage dropping to now? -
Want to thank all of the competitors for another great World Finals! XS Power was well represented in the lanes and with the majority of the championships and records!! Any company can boast about power, but the proof is in the lanes! Spring Break in Daytona is going to be very interesting!!!! If you were competing at Finals or the 3X post up your results!
