    This design is used in blow throughs all the time. It tunes just like any other box. The baffles that the subs are mounted on is your port.

    What are the max diminsions your willing to use for the box?

    They are vibration dampeners not sound dampeners. You dont have to cover the entire trunk and decklid unless you have extreme vibration. You may not need as much as you think.

    The port cant be 14 inches tall either. Torres gives outer diminsions for the box size and inner diminsions for the port size. We posted at the same time. The port being .5 wide is more like a bad leak than a port lol.

    i would not use 1 inch MDF for that box. No particular reason, its just overkill. And is .5 what you meant to put for the port width?

    By swapping the RCA's do you mean you actually changed the channels you were using or just swapped the wires?

    A 133.4 from one 12 on 225 watts is nothing to be ashamed of!

    Yeah that should be fine, as long as the amp has room to breath and stays cool.

    Its just like anything else, you get what you pay for. I wouldnt spend my money on them. I would save up and buy a nicer product.

    If you are dying for bass and have less than $100 to spend they are the best thing since sliced bread! If you have more to spend I would stay away from them.

    Many will disagree but you can do a lot better than JL Audio for the money your going to spend on them. I would pick DC or something along those lines over JL Audio.
