then do 1 18 ported. at 7cbft i think it would do better then both 18's sealed but i could be wrong. but 2 12's in the right box can get pretty damn loud at 3k

no what hes saying is that you can run 3 or 4 subs at once off of that amp.

i think you mean that it will have the port on the side of the box instead of the back of box. im looking to have the port at the rear and the length of the box. so another words if i where to say 43x17x15 and i would have sub facing forward and then at the top of the back of the box there would be a lets just say 1in port that was 41 in long and the back and top of the box. can i do this with those dimensions beaing at 4cbft and tuned under 35hz. if not what would you suggest.

i appreciate the help but i need a slot port at the rear of box. and only reason being ive had diff setups in this truck and the slot at the rear just sounds better to my ear. the box can get longer and taller if need be. like i said maybe 45 in long and nothing over 20 in for the height. i dont think i mentioned it needs to be atleast 4cbft.

ok im going to build a box sunday. i have an RESX 15d4 running right at 1500 watts. the box can be 40in long and the height can be 17in and the depth can be no more than 15. reasing im posting this question i need the sub to fire forward and port up. this is what sounds good in my truck. but i want the slot to be the legnth of the box another words sub forward slot port up at the rear of box. but i need so see if i can get it to around 35hz and lower. i just dont know how to figure the width and depth of the port. if need be the box can be taller or but preferably not longer. but i can go 45 in legnth if need be.

yeah now that they are available i cant purchase the 8 that i wanted. but from what i gather they can get loud. i just wanted to see how low i could get them. but good luck.the only other brand i would consider for an 8 is the atomic but they are like 1 million dollars a piece.

well i have the other SS 4.500 on lay away but i guess now ill just get that one out sooner than later and just send this one off to SS and see what happerns

i just meant theres no fuses for me to check.and yes i have a distro block but its not fused from the power to the second amp and just the main 0gauge coming from battery.

well i went to redo some wiring on my amps and when i rehooked my soundstream4.500 i hooked ground to power and power to ground. needless to say the amp i think is now junk. the blue power light stays on even if ignition is off. there are no external fuses to check on this amp. the shop where i buy my shit from told me to bring it to him and he will bench it and see what happens. i cant believe i did this. ive had no bump or sound for like 2 mths. and i traded a guy for my 2 rf hx 10's with a virtual technologies box for an resx 15. so i was getting everything ready and now i only have bump and nothing else.
