Thanks man i just got to rent the tool.. Pretty sure its the thermostat and maybe a leak.

yea i have common sense not to put water in there when its below freezing... I wont be doing it till Tuesday or Wednesday, it will be above 40 those days... also i will have to look i am not 100% where the thermostat is on this car.

Yea that is what i was going to do sense water is a lot cheaper the antifreeze also i failed to mention and idk if this helps at all but when it over heated the other night there was a lot of steam coming out of the upper rad hose.

ok guys there is no antifreeze in the oil, the antifreeze that i put in there the other night is still in there, I am just going to rent that tool. pressurize the system if there is a leak it will be obvious then. My buddy that was riding with me the other night said that the reasons my moms heat aint working is because the thermostat is bad. I was just on the phone with him and he described the symptoms to his dad and his dad said to replace that and it should fix the over heating issues.

yea i think that your supposed to do it when its cold...

Thanks man i know that i need to pressurize it to the pressure specified on the radiator cap, hell for all i know it could be the cap that is causing this to begin with (but i doubt it) Do i need to do it while the car is hot? or cold?

OK guys the other night i was riding with my mom and her 95 tarsus was getting hot to the point where is was overheating, when we got home the resevoir was empty so i filled it up with 50/50 antifreeze and let the car sit. Well the NEXT DAY when she drove to the store and the drug store and back it was doing the same thing. I am almost certain that there is a leak in either the upper or lower radiator hose, or the hose going from the reservoir to the radiator... I have seen some videos of them pressurizing the system with a tool that i don't have but can i rent one from auto-zone or pep-boys? Or will they do it for me? Just need to get my moms car back on the road. Thanks in advance -James
