One step a head of ya man. I planned on temporally patching the exhaust manifold to find out if that helps. If it does then i know where my problem lays, if not then i know to check the other options. BUT EITHER WAY i am switching my oil back to 10w30.

Yea i got a manifold leak. I knew that i did and then found out exactly where it was when i had it on the ramps. Right at the collector weld. Thinking about saving up and getting a set of aftermarket headers. Idk yet. But it has a flowmaster exhaust system.

Wow dude you like read my mind! Just thought about seafoam Mine also has oil in the air filter. I was thinking about pulling off the valve cover, my buddy just replaced his gasket on his 79 nova and i was thinking "well why not do it now." Thanks for the tips!

Just rolled to 188xxx today, and its a 4.0 straight 6.

Thats pretty much what i was thinking. Guys at autozone said pretty much the same thing. Said to drain the oil and put in thicker oil.

Okay you guys after my oil change the other day when i started my truck i heard a abnormal noise. Sounded like a ticking noise coming from the engine. After a couple days its still persistent BUT only REALLY noticeable on cold starts. After it has ran a while you can hear it but not as good. My buddy that loaned me his garage said that more then likely it was from using a lighter weight of oil then what was in there. 10w40 was in there (i believe don't quote me) and i put 5w30 in. So my question is should i go ahead and drain the oil and put a thicker oil back in there... Like i said ticking started accruing AFTER oil change. I do know that i have a blow-by according to my mech. Which he said that some Lucas oil stabilizer should help with that.

Yea try that. I know that after my exhaust manifold started to leak my voltage also dropped about .5 volts because there was a little extra heat built up in the engine compartment.
