Alum is better at handling the heat, less dense than copper, takes longer to heat up. (which is why is better in spl when putting xx-K amount of watts into a sub) However, I haven't read anywhere that you cant put an alum coil into daily driver. then again i dont read much.

im running bxi 2.6k on stock. well red top infront. dimming lights like woahhh is no fun . lol... ima get a big upgrade when funds come. im running two mtx 9512-44s on 2.6. (4" coil, i honestly think i can put one of these amps on each). and its fkn crazy loud. blew away my previous 4 15s. (all in trunk) i have a t.2000 12" in my room, imma try that amp on it. see how it does.

Cant be that much of a stock trunk. i hope you add some deadener and foam to stop rattles! what are the specs on subs? and by spl, you really mean the best output on the subs and not cuss you're only going to burp the subs on competitions since you say you going to leave seats up and uncut reardeck. so say daily/groundpounder not spl?

just put the 8" on a diff amp not with the 12s. like a 5 channel, hook up the 8" n ur mids and highs
