Should I sell my car????
Gingeriffik replied to Sid420's topic in Off Topic - Random, Misc posts - the forum "Junk Drawer"
Just a word of advice (that I wish I got when I was 17). Be happy and find contentment with what you have, and save your money. Nothing wrong with having a decent car and decent beat at 17. You have your whole life to get biger and better, but for now, I would suggest more forward thinking and decide if it's really worth it. -
I paid $2,026. That was $999(more expencive than it had to be, elected to use an upgraded wavefront laser to minimize tissue loss) per eye with taxes and the 1 gear guarantee. Have the option at the anuall check up to make it a lifetime guarantee for an additional $400. That means all checkups and any corrections if needed are coverd at no cost EVER. Totally going to do that, but why but it up frot when you have a year to do it. I have perfect vision still but Id definitely say that is worth it if you can give up the cash. But, if I were you, id be putting money towards that each month or the time will pass and you will never get around to it if you are anything like me. Over time the excitement you now have fades unfortunately. I will have to kindly dissagree with you there sir. If you haven't delt with moderate to sever nearsighted ness, or had to wear glasses for 18+ years because your eyes wont take contacts, you can't understad the way this feels. Plus I had the money specifically for this.

See post above for cost. But keep in mind that cost is dependant on persctition, overall health of the eye, and the equipment used. I had a healthy eye but they used an upgraged laser to minimize tissue loss should I need correction in the future. As for feeling, you don't feel a thing. Your eye is toally numb.

I just want to say this is the most incredible thing ever. I was so nearsighted that my hand was blurry less than a foot from my face. And to now no longer need glassed in any form is just amazing!! The consult is the longest part of the whole process. It starts off with your standard eye exam. Then you start into the reall stuff, for me it was 3 different scans of the eye on 3 different macnines. In all the consult took almost 2 hours. Another cool thing, I was able to do the surgery the same day as my consult. Did the consult at 10am and the surgery at 4pm. The wait is what made me the most anxious. It was in my mind they are going to cut my eye with a razor. But, I got in and the Doc was awesome. Explained everything they were going to do and what the sensations would be. The whole team was awesome, contanstly communicating, and the Doc talking me through everything. The blackout when they make the cut is the only time you have no vision what soever, but the blackout only lasts 5 seconds. They put this suction cup thing on your eye and pull suction on it, then they opperate the cutter which is motorized, you can hear it but its done durring the blackout so you cant see it. After the cut, the Doc uses a tool to slide the flap away. Then adjust the laser and tells you to wath the blinking light. Durring the actuall treatment, all you hear is the clicks of the laser, which is not a visible light. All you do is look at a blinking light. From the time I went into the room and was walking out was 5-6 minutes. It goes so fast. I couldn't belive it. I sat up and was able to read the clock across the room. And yes, you are completly awake for the procedure, they give you a 5mg Vallium to calm your nerves if you want it. Night vision that night was not bad. My eyes were a little sore (felt like a pice of sawdust or something was in my eye), more irritited than anything. There was a slight "halo" effect around lights that night, just becaue the eye is still healing. The next night, it seemed normal with a slight starburst effect which they say will gradually dissipate after about a month. It is completely tolerabel. All thing considered, would not hesitate to do it agin.

First, check your contract and see if they say they can/will change rates without notice. If not, secondly, you should go to the gym and ask for an explanation. Depending on what they say, you could ask them to pay the overdraft fee. But, if there is a stipulation in the contract that says they can change dues and or payment dates without notice you are out of luck. -

I have been looking into it alot as well. I have found a place that offers a lifetime guarantee for a few hundred bucks extra. If you ever need another correction, it is done at no cost. I also have heard nothing but great things about Lasic in general, so i'm looking forward to it. Hopefully I can do it sometime this year.

1) There has been no primary containment comprimises detected as of yet. 2) Reactors 1 and 3 have suffered partial meltdonws, but are in a stable state with interum cooling measures. Which means they have suffered over 30% fuel damage. The suspect number 2 has suffered substancial damage as well, 2's water leves are impoving but have not been stablized. 3) The pond in Recactor 4 is holding spent fuel, that reactor was in the process of maintainace. As far as they can tell, primary continment is in tact. Unsure of the staus of the fire, which is why they are unsure of the staus of the containment. Radiation level are to high to investigate. 4) Problem was caused by loss of power to all systems, which stopped the cooling in the reactors. 5) Increased levels of radiation are, so far, being held within the location of the sight. It is only increased because of the need to vent pressue. 6) The evacuation yesterday was caused by a stuck valve that released more steam than was intended, causing localized radiation levels to temporaly become dangerous.

You can technically BBQ on a grill, but most people just use BBQ because its the ambiance. How many times do you invite people over for a BBQ only to be grilling burgers and brauts. -
