  1. You should have 12-16 square inches of port area per foot. Also, I would Make the port height 20.5 inches tall because it's easier but it height will work too
  2. I agree with everything he said. You shouldn't expect a straight answer for this question
  3. I have one called SubShredder. It's simple but performs it's task very well
  4. I'd put a d3400 up front and throw a d3100 in the back.
  5. yeah, having some experienced will help A LOT! I'll be lookin' out for the build
  6. it won't defeat the purpose of having an eq. What the eq does is equalize sound (obviously). You will get the same frequencies with the two headunits, but the sound quality would be different this is to back myself up about the 15 hrs a week..haha. I work at a daycare center that has an afterschool program to watch the elementary and intermediate schools in the district. The kids get there around 4 pm and the place closes at 7. I applied to watch afterschool so 3 hours times 5 days is 15 hours. The reason I don't work on weekends is because my parents are divorced and I go to my dads house on the weekends
  7. I understand that the money will help, but to me it's not worth it. Of course I wouldn't get a crappy headunit with like .5 volt preouts. It all depends on what you are looking for. For example, my dad would do the upgrade because all he wants is SQ
  8. Yep, add 0 gauge; especially because you have it laying around. It carries more power and has less resistance
  9. You'll have better sound quality but I wouldnt waste the money (keep in mind that I'm a highschool student who only works 15 hours a week)
  10. Damn, thats a good price..you save like $200
  11. This helped a lot. I didn't realize how simple it is..thanks!
  12. would the front (where it's being mounted) be one? Idk.. I'll just wait for more answers I guess
  13. I saw that too; but Steves done some complicated installs in the past so I just thought I'd mention that question
  14. Someone gotta know. Steve can't be the only person who's done this type of port
  15. Theyre sold on Livneked.com They're a SMD partner
  16. Damn, walmart? I didnt know they even sold subs.. Im surprised they hit somewhat hard
  17. I want to do a port like the one Steve has in the Tahoe so I have more net volume. Ill be using the Torres' ExpoSport calculator. Here are my questions: 1) Will I only have one common port wall? 2) Does it matter how high the port is on the box? 3) How much port area should I have per cubic foot? 4) Is the depth (length) of the port the same on all four sides?
  18. The fuse should be atleast the size of the amplifiers fuse rating
