Will my amp stay cool enough behind wall?
aleroking replied to IndianaBassHead's topic in Amplifiers
i have two bc 3500s stacked directly on top of each other in the trunk of my car behind my wall and they have yet to protect. They get hotter from the weather than from playing music on them. and i live in florida its pretty much 90 outside 3/4 of the year. but to each there own if you think you need them go for it but i doubt you would have issues. -
http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_21061_Avital-5303L.html this is the alarm i have works great, if you went with this you could get it installed and it would be around the same price as just the viper. look around at local places to though you might be able to get a good deal by buying from them and having them install it.

the side panels by backseat will leak into the trunk and also check the sides of the trunk behind the carpeting i had huge cavities that lead to the cabinsealed those up and was much louder in my trunk wall.

270a mechman alt

edit: old as thread -
strip it really long and just fold it over and over on itself to get it thicker

what was the stock radios rca voltage output? all you need to do is have your amplifiers gain matched to your source units output level, it shouldnt affect loudness, unless the bose amp is not adjustable.

for 1500rms he will be absolutely fine with a battery. no need for an alternator. As well as the big 3 If you already said you did it, my bad. I did plan on doing the big 3 for sure. But that is great news. I appreciate immensely the amount of replies I received so quickly. Thanks guys! I will look into a battery. What would be some batteries you guys recommend and where should I get them? Online or at a local audio shop. I appreciate it a lot guys! a kinetik 1400 or 2000 should do you fine

im thinking about the s200x has nice features and 7 band eq and i never use cds o ans the bass knocks my ipod charger out so it always dies -
from my experience hifonics amps are a little overrated. But the dtr line for soundstream is supposed to be good IMO i like the tower design too I would go with the soundstream but if you just need to save some money the hifonics would still be decent but i highly doubt you would even get 1500 out of the hifonics.

yeh just one stock wet cell, but if you read about my friend ( if he has a 200+ amp alt, drycell up front and only 100 amp draw he shouldnt be dropping into the low 12's? -
