What boon said is that impedance rise changes on every frequency, if you have a big rise on a certain frequency it doesn´t mean it´s constant, maybe you can have 0 ohms impedance rise on another one causing danger to you amplifier if it´s wired below 1 ohm and it doesn´t like it

I was the bass race 149.9 champ on Panama with 3 10´s , i also burped a 148 @ 39 hz and could do some major hairtricks and can tricks with that small cone area,so i think that people saying that are dumbass, yes maybe a big ass sub has a lower FS allowing you to play easily some lows, but i really love the face of the people when they get a strong loud demo from small subs , i miss those days

Very true, but once again, if you don´t know how to measure impedance rise or it´s first time you heared about it, then you are not the guy to wire your amp to 0.5 ohms, if you have voltage drops or even setting it all clipped and with gains cranked up, we all know what´s gonna happen!!! Also, yes, you can use impedance rise on your favor and wire your amp lower, but there´s simply some amps that just don´t like to be wired @ 0.5 ohms even if you have major rises, myself, i only wire amps below 1 ohm for burps, but once again, i´ve never used strong amps like sundown for example, this is latin america, over here you find cheaper amps only hehe, biggest amp i´ve ever had it´s the SD and there´s no reason for me to wire it below 1 ohm because my subs reach mechanical capacity about 30% of my amp capacity hehe, i bought it just thinking on the future, hell, i don´t even know why i´m talking about me hahaha,sorry for the off topic, yes impedance rise is a bitch and yes, Soundigital rules!!! hehehhe,cheers...

yeah, same happened to me with my Cadence C6, 6000 watts @ 1 ohm 16v specs, i had 13v and final impedance was 3.8 ohms, did 2800 watts wich was more than fine for 16v amp at 4 ohms, but it was very sad haha, if you are building a burping machine yes you need to know your real impedance, for daily, i wouldn´t even worry about it

Well, i suggest you not to clamp your system, you are gonna get all sad hahhaa, clamping results for daily boxes makes you wanna cry, you have a 3500 watts giving you about 2000 real watts if you are lucky, makes you wanna kick yourself on the head!

Also, smaller box needs more power, so it´s relative, i can bet you that a box with 5 c/f and 3K is not gonna be as loud as a 8 c/f and 3K even with more impedance rise than the small one hehe

I don´t know dorre, they´re still very strong subs for that small power, 3K before impedance rise and voltage drops for each BTL is very "small" power imo,maybe 8 c/f per sub?

Those subs are barely gonna move bro, i would try to get at least another crecendo, those subs have a very stiff suspension, but yes, should be nice and loud even with that small power

I had that same question a couple of months ago, and there´s a guy on this forum using it @ 0.5 ohms without any problems, myself, i wouldn´t even think about it hehe, i prefer to live mine @ 1 ohm

Hey guys, went to a show this weekend with the sexplorer and the swift, the sexplorer took 1st place on Bass Race 149.9 class, and the swift took the crowd and people laughs hehe, doing hairtricks and demos all day long, as you can see on the vids, the car wasn´t moving the same amount of air on all demos because i was pounding all day long and my voltage got around 10v for the whole afternoon haha, ooh well, it was fun!!! Hope you guys like it...

I´m sorry to tell you HFI doesn´t do any close to rated power, so you should be more than fine with that power, cheers and welcome to the forum!!
