  1. Depends on the kind of music you like, for me, 30-35 hz tuning is too low, i always tune around 38 hz for daily since i listen to reggae, merengue, salsa, reggaeton and hip hop , i did tune to 33 hz once in the swift to get hairtricks tho...
  2. Yes, dual 2 ohms coils and just strap the amps, positive from the subs to positive on the master, negative from the subs to positive on the slave, of course, not all amplifiers strap the same way but that´s the most commun way, i´ve been using 2 smaller amplifiers strapped for about 2 years now and i´m very happy
  3. Sadly, i don´t have an AQ1200 on my hands to test it out, BUT, gumbysmoke (123imdeaf) on youtube clamped one of those amps a few months ago, i was looking for the video but he removed it from his channel, pretty sure we was getting WAYYY more than 1500 watts on that video... But yeah, they are very similar amps, just different parts to bring the price down, and of course, the quality and durability should be lower on the AQ, but still a powerful amp, once again, i would love to find that video
  4. New system and vids from you? at last!!! tuned in Bill...
  5. talking about asshole comments, you mad???? i can hear the ban hammer coming for you lol
  6. x10 on that comment , that´s why i said no need for reducers, i think that´s dumb lol
  7. hahaha watch it, he likes lifting, he could brake you in half
  8. I tune my explorer´s boxes at 39 hz and i get loud on the meter, resonant frequency it´s just out of my mind since i bought my termlab, i build efficient boxes that peak below resonant frequency and i get louder everytime, also, my explorer seems to LOVE a 39 hz tuning no matter what the box size, cone area or even power i use, of course , i´m talking about boxes on the trunk In other words, forget about theory, the only way you can get really loud on SPL setups it´s testing A LOT!!
  9. 2.5 with a 35 hz tuning doesn´t look bad at all, at least for a lot of 10" subs it´s a good box, my DD 1510´s sucked ass on 1.25 tho lol
  10. You can´t definitely beat the price of the AQ HDC3 , i´ve seen LOTS of guys getting stupid loud with them on small power
  11. I´m using a DD m1b (same amplifier) and already had 0 gauge coming from the batteries, just trim it a little bit and you are set to go, no need for reducers IMO
  12. With the ammount of room you have, definitely go with subs that require smaller boxes, the SA 12 seems to be the best bang for the buck sub out there, i´ve seen them get LOUD on something like 1.6 c/f per sub
  13. Strapped or not, i seriously recommend you to use 2 smaller amplifiers, easier to sell, easier to fit in the car, if one of them broke down you still have some bass, on wich case, you can change parts from one to the other one until you find the problem on the broken amplifier and just fixed, i could keep going all day long hehe. I used a Soundigital 8K , cadence C6 and another couple of big amplifiers, now i only use multiple small amps and i´m so damn happy
  14. Another example for you, sometimes depends entirely about the car and not the port itself, i´ve tested 4 , 6 and 7 and 8" aeros in my explorer, 80 , 120 , 140 and 180 SQ of port (most of them vertical on the center of the box) and i always get the same results, no matter what the port size or even the box height is, my explorer get louder EVERYTIME with the box placed on the cargo hooks that are about 9" away if i´m not mistaken...
  15. My suzuki swift got louder when i placed the box (sub up/port back) REALLY close to the hatch , port was something like 12x6 and the box got louder on the meter only about 3" away, same thing with my buddy´s nissan almera, big ass port facing back and he only needed 3 or 4" , but yeah, generally speaking you need to place the box a few inches away
  16. That looks nasty for sure!! very nice vids
  17. haha that´s one badass dad!!! very nice vid mate...
  18. Hell yeah!!! That´s one loud car for some demos, i wish my explorer were like that, no matter what i build, i´m always louder sealed up, as soon as i open a door, output drops A LOT, that sucks for demos if you ask me , having to demo the car with everything sealed up is kind of boring if you ask me
  19. The banana fan and the waiting machine gave me a BI lol at the office right now haha
  20. There are about 10 different topics or even more about the hfi line, why doesn´t anyone use the search tool anymore?
  21. The lowest frequency on that song is around 27 hz iirc , a 36 hz tuning is not the best for that unless you have a very low f3 wich is kind of hard to get, maybe you set the subsonic filter way too high? About the wall, i guess you´ll have to compete on meca, usaci and the other associations that use an open door and forget about db drag unless you bass race on the 139.9 class for example, is not the end of the world actually, enjoy your new wall
