i have owned 3 sdc 2.5's in 12 and 2 15's there great subs. there rated for like 600 rms i think. and i had a 15 750 rms. and it was begging for more so i slapped 1200 on it and loved it. playing as we speak.very well built and great customer service. THUMBS UP AQ

Look for sixdogs1 on youtube. He is currently in the rebuild of his system he is going with custom made tubes. I am sure its been done before him but that was the most recent I have seen of anyone doing them. Hey OP maybe you could reach out to sixdogs on youtube and ask for some tips. He goes through his entire build process on at high level so that might give you so good tips. Good luck with the build if thats the route u go. thanks! i sure will. seems very interesting

ive never heard of a sonotube enclosure? wouldnt the cardboard rip apart form pressure or something or am i just missing something?

ide probably subtract .2 for bracing unless ur going hard. and if u use allthread for bracing it'de be considerably less than that and if ur doing external ports and inverted sub you don't have any other displacement.

i think inverting the subs and then two external port stacks on either side of the sub would look badass. and ude save a good bit of space.

a 5k is a perfect match to a pair of XLs in my opinion if you were doing a single XL id keep your RF T2500BDCP that amp is a beast and i wouldnt even sell it, i love mine Exactly what they said, can run off one all day, so that's going to be my purchase! As for the rockford amp, its definitely nice, however I don't really like how it prioritizes its power more on the lower notes. Sure I love my lows and its mainly what I listen to but when a song with a higher not comes on, I gotta crank my sub level up on my deck. I'm putting it up for sale this weekend on caraudioclassifieds and such, since I don't have enough posts for here yet. If i see it on CACO ill probly make u an offer. i love those amps
