  1. Just bougt one of his Crescendo 3k's off of him today. Great guy to deal with and quick responses with p.m.'s and text. For sure would buy of him again if something came up.

  3. What would they do at 2 ohm. What did you run them at
  4. Dont think the jl 1000.1 is 1 ohm stable. Think it is actually 1.5 stable ad nd trust me, do not try and run it lower. A friend of mine wired his to 1ohm not relizing it and smoked the amp in 25min. But they do have the r.i.p.s. feature which is like the constant power from rockford, 1000rms across all loads from 1.5-4ohm. My opinion, run th DC. just got some level 3's for a friends car and i just got a XL
  5. Im gonna run another 3400 along with the 3400 I already have with a h.o alt with my new build which I may go with a AQ2200. Still undecided.

  7. Me and my boy just installed a pioneer flipout and a Hiphonics amp with some L7's. The customer diddnt want a 4 channel, so we decided to bypass the factory amp and have the deck power the doors. The wiring diagram we had did not work and was only able to get one door to work. Well,,, we did so and now the SRS, ABS, and another message saying ( speed reduced to 90 m.p.h. He also just told us that his aftermarket alarm ( viper but not sure which one ) is not working and the interior lights will not shut off. Anyone run into this as far as installers? I told the guy to reset the battery ( touch cables together ), see if he can find the alarm reset switch and try that. Also, was thinking that when the battery was disconnected, the factory settings through the car was reset and now the interior lights stay on for say 30sec instead of setting it to your liking. Just not to sure about the warning messages. Maybe cause the battery was drained very low and caused some codes?

  9. Yea that box is HELLA small. My old setup was a Kicker L7 in a prefab, but the prefab was over 4.0 c.f. Dont know what the port was tuned to but it did hit hard for what it was and the power i had going to it. Like ramdesighns said, Do 4-5c.f. and port arond 35hz
  10. My Yukon has a space for another battery under the hood as well. The H.D suburban ( i think thats it ) came with a dual battery set up stock. One in the same location as all the others ( behind the left headlight) and the other is right rear corner of engine bay
  11. Thats the problem when buying used cars in general, you have no clue how the other person took care of it before you. For example, im a volvo tech at a volvo dealer. I sold my wifes Nissan Sentra and was looking for a older Volvo wagon for my wife, as she wanted a larger car. So, found one. Had the owner bring it to my job for me to inspect. Found worn tires, oil leak, bad left inner tie rod, rear brakes needed to be replaced, leaking radiator, master window switch needed to be repalced, cracked shift knob button. So the owner had no clue except for the tires that any of this was bad. I actually showed him the bad parts. We agreed on a price and I purchased it. On the way back from buying the car, my wife was driving it and she calls me as im following her and says that the abs/tracs/check engine light all came on. I said dont worry and i know what it needs. Then 1 minute later, she calls me again saying the speedo stopped working ( same problem as the warning lights ). The next day im driving it now and i smell coolant in the car, heater core leaking. So even though i inspected the car prior to purchase, there was still other issues with it afterwards. Thats the risk of buying used.
  12. Damn they went up. I just looked at the invoice in my email and it said 279.97 with shipping for XS s3400 ( 239.99) and ibar kit ( 25.99 ) and 13.99 handling ( no shipping i guess )

  13. If you by a tahoe or yukon, gas milage is gonna suck. I bought my yukon brand new and averaged 16.4mpg with 50/50 highway city driving. The minute i put the 22's on, 13.4 mpg. And dont forget the added weight with your system is also gonna affect gas mileage. The trannys are ok in these trucks. The diffs also. If you dont beat up your truck and service the fluids and such as recomended, you should be good with getting the most out of your truck. My boy just did a tranny on a 02 tahoe two weeks ago. thehoe92 i think blew out his rear diff. But like i said, maintain the car and dont beat the fuck out of it and shell be good to you

  15. Actually, i did notice a differnace. It seemed to have a little less dimming and voltage drop. YOu can order on jegs, thats the cheapest that i found it. The i-bar that they sell is kinda crap though. The threaded insert came out and had to reloacte one of the grounds.

    Thanks guys. Still trying to decide what im going to do as far as amps go. I'm trying to sell my rockford power 1000 to fund some another amp/amps. May run a T2000 with a older t400-4 or this setup, AQ2200 w/ Aq4x90
  17. Im running a Xspower S3400. May be ordering another one if things go right.

  18. Does anyone here have experience with the AQ4x90 amp? Still up in the air, bit may run this and a 2200. Just wondering if someone is running this and if they pike it or not.
  19. How about a budget? If you say you have x amount of dollars to spend on a system, then you may be able to buy some used AQ stuff that could be cheaper.
  20. Not sure if they still have it or not, but you can check out the Pioneer 6200bt. Great price and seemed to have some good features. I was going to pick this up for my wagon, but would like to do the whole system, and just dont have that type of money right now.
