Theres some truth to that

Very true. If you build a 4th or 6th order, a sub swap will majorly alter the performance and range of frequencies played. They are extremely picky on the fs, vas, and qts of a particular sub depending on the S factor (asuming .7 for widest flat responce frequency range for music) EDIT: I'm not really sure how a sub swap would effect performance on any other S factor than .7 (haven't played with a peaky bp yet)

I gotcha. The only real testing I've done with aeros was in a crx. We used 7 different boxes, and MANY port configurations on each box, and came up with best results at 9in^2/cube Flared ports

Aeros are a bit different. You can use about 8-10in^2/cube. PVC pipe on the other hand still goes by 12-16in^2/cube. And its figured by r*r*3.14...... Where did you get 10 or 11 with 5 cubes? realistically you can squeeze by with about (6) 3" aero ports

Hey guys, I started a semi-local website (midwest area, missouri, kansas, iowa) that is NON biased in the format you compete in. Feel free to check it out "This is a website for car audio enthusiasts in the midwest area (Missouri, Kansas, Iowa). A good place to share/learn tips and tricks, show off projects, organize meetings for testing and tuning, and get info on upcomming competitions in any format" midwestcaraudio.999.org
